New York Trip

Mrs Dailo and I will be heading out for the 16 hour trip from Hong Kong to NYC on 4th Feb for a week and would appreciate any suggestions for cool bondesque experiences/venues, great shopping opportunities only available in the Big Apple, memorabilia/vintage toy emporiums or even the opportinity to meet up for a beer or three while we're there.

Respond, email or PM.

Acne, COS, John Varvatos, Omega, Rolex, All Saints, Billy Reid, Prada, S.T. DuPont, Dunhill, Halliburton, Sony, Jimmy Choo, as well as many others, all have boutique stores here as well. Happy shopping! :007)

Thanks for the shopping advice, so far I've managed to steer clear of the movie associated clothing and wish to continue untempted and ignorant on that choosen route, but still love the watches and associated shiney, sparkly stuff so it'll be interesting to see how prices compare.

Anything a little more NYC exclusively memrobilia or diecast related?

I would go to the top of the rock myself its just as high as the Empire state building, (ive done both) but at TTOTR ,you can photograph the ESB in the background ,and see it better were as once your in the ESB you cant see it ,and it gets very crowded up there ,if you get a spare hour or 2 ,you must go the the statue of Liberty ,one of the most iconic symbols in the world ,there you can see the whole of Manhattan . Get the subway to Brooklyn and walk back over the Brooklyn bridge ,(take a cheap padlock with you) :D .There is too much to do in NYC ,
By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?

Fly into Kennedy. Sit in the front seat of the limo in case Whisper takes out your driver. Tail a jukebox. Order bourbon but don't drink it... then check out the bar at the St. Regis that is unchanged since James and Felix drank there in '54!

Cross the street from the Chrysler Building (and you must see the Chrysler lobby inside) to the Daily News to see the giant spinning globe from the Christopher Reeve Superman films.

It's a fantastic city - was there for the first time in December. So much to see and do without any shops - but if you do want to shop why not buy now (in the sale) and have it 'shipped to store' - Billy Reid were fantastic for that!
My name has changed! I’m no longer dufus......now I’m DB6
