White Bahamas Shirt

Looking to buy a replica of the shirt as I'm off the Nassau in April .

Can't seem to find a decent alternative here in the UK and have read mixed reviews of the Magnoli shirt albeit from a long time ago .

Has anyone brought one recently - I would be interested in hearing honest unbiased views - around the quality of this and the enjoying death shirt ?

I got the Madagascar shirt from the and ended up getting in altered .

It's great but is it really worth the price - I guess that's part of the design fabric but the Bahamas shirt is a white shirt after all.

Thoughts ?

Im not sure if the fabric on the Magnoli shirt is very accurate if im honest.

Sruzgar did post a pic of the real deal a while back (will try to locate it) and it looked very different to me.

Its a shirt I always wanted but as this was custom and no material left this will never happen

Here is a pic kindly provided by Simon from this thread: http://www.ajb007.co.uk/topic/44132/casino-royale-linen-suits/

This is Indys: The material looks thicker (real one looks more sheer) and of course the pattern on the real deal has way more "lines" etc

Has to be one of my fav shirts, I have extra fabric but not enough to make a shirt sadly.

Where did you get that shirt?

We can make this shirt in a 100% linen as well (with striping in pure white or eggshell white) for a thinner/lighter shirt. Price is $175 (shipped).

Can you make the material more accurate? :) Because since Sruzgar has some left and it's not enough for another shirt anyway maybe there is a chance he could send you a sample of it - that's just a sugestion gentlemen! I don't even know if I will afford it in the following months.

Is the shirt in the film linen then .?

For $175 for a shirt you would expect something special . Could someone post any detailed close pictures of the magnoli shirt - the last one I got was shipped from the far east so the price sounds incredibly expensive

Here is a close-up of the pure Italian linen:

    bahama-royale-linenIMG_4435.jpg

There are four options available: Pinstripe in white (as seen on the right), Trackstripe in Eggshell (as seen on the left), as well as the same pinstripe in eggshell and the trackstripe in white. Personally, I would go with the pinstripes in white.

As you can see, since it is a 2-ply fabric, it is more sheer than our standard 3-ply cotton twill.

    Kind regards,
    Magnoli

I'm thinking of selling my magnoli bahama shirt . It's a lovely shirt in the Italian linen but it's really too big for me and I think I'm going to reorder again at a smaller size. Basically I Got my measurements wrong and allowed too much room. It would probably fit an XL gent. If anyone is interest per drop me a note - I've only worn it a handful of times so it's a shame to be stuck in. H wardrobe. Just looking to cover my costs.

No snark intended, but had Magnoli revisited this shirt design since the release of the blu-ray? Not only do you get a MUCH better look at the pattern, but the whole section of commentary here is Lindy Hemming talking about that shirt and the Egyptian cotton used to make it!

I could be wrong but Indys last picture (though linen) looks a closer match then previously. Maybe he will chime in. The real thing has a lot of vertical lines etc but diff widths?

Do love this particular shirt. Get a pic up Vesper007
