Guys, we have just short of 40 interested parties. Which is certainly enough to make the project castings / cost close to the initial projections.

I will discuss details with my initial contact re timings and process etc

Also got a couple of calls out to other reputable / recommended companies to see what they propose.

I believe it is best to take the appropriate time to get a first class result. Also believe that the bluray release (22.2 here) will help a manufacturer greatly with screen accuracy!

Anyone interested who hasnt yet posted, please continue to add to the thread. Also any thoughts on detail etc more than welcome!

More parties will hopefully push the costings lower for us all

For those interested in cosplay--Craig's head is smallish compared to many people. I'm not sure how you'd size the replicas to fit people...

I think you could really hit it out of the park if you did a duel pack of Bond's mask and a replica of Sciarra's mask.. (personally I am not as interested in Estrella's mask, but I may be a minority here on that).. The thought of a duel display of both Bond and Sciarra's masks would be fantastic..

    Ok guys

So... Do we believe the jaw articulates. The mask def appears to have the look of a "movable jaw" type...
If it does and we want this it would push the overall price up due to 2 moulds / fixing hardware etc etc
Anyone US side with access to the film want to add some info / views

(Not due out here until friday)

    Thanks

I'm willing to bet it doesn't move. At any rate, I'm sure everyone would be fine with it not moving as you would want to keep it "up" anyway...

I believe that Jany said in the Christies interview that they had the mask specially made because it had to be articulated-so that leads me to believe it is either two pieces or at least has some amount of movement.

I would agree that the articulation is not so much of a needed feature for me... even in the event I do (as others have suggested) opt for this as a Halloween costume this fall.. it still would not be an absolutely necessary component.. Considering we cannot really point to a part of that scene where the articulation plays any functional role.. I'd err on the side cost efficiency.. But thats just me.. (and I am undoubtedly an obsessive penny pincher in a hobby where that makes it damned near impossible to stay afloat ! :)) )

    I agree with this ^^^
Don't see a need for the jaw to move.

I agree with MFisher. Even if the production mask was articulated, it was never shown on film, as I recall.

Best to keep the cost down.

Plus I gotta have the funds left over for the matching Sciarra mask ! :D

I suppose it would be too much to ask that whoever wins the costume on Thursday that they pour some silicone over the cane topper? :v
