I've been very fortunate to have had the pleasure of the Flying B first (literary Bond) and now the AM (film Bond) one after the other. I bought them for the pure pleasure of what they are, rather than purely for JB of course, but it doesn't hurt. Plate contradicts! :))

I think every thing Bond related I have purchased ,from shoes watches jackets ect has all been expensive ,because at the end of the day ,realistically ,I don't actually need any of it ,I mean im not going to die if I wear a Hackett polo top instead of a Sunspel , or wear a Tissot watch instead of an Omega ,I mean they still tell the same time ,.I just cave in to my vanity ,and take the plunge ,now I could have had a few more Caribbean holidays instead , but then you get the same sun in Greece , :)
By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?

I paid $50.00 for a copy of the 1966 paperback book For Bond Lovers Only, since I really wanted to read the essays inside especially the one written by Sean Connery. It was defiantly worth the money that I paid, many of the essays were very interesting and I was also pleased with the pictures as well. Also I paid $75.00 for the Ken Nulls SMZ shoulder holster for my Walther PPK replica, it was worth it though since I had wanted one for my collection for years.

I never thought I would spend so many thousands of dollars on rare books or (gulp) £4,000 on a couple of plaques or some piles of poker or roulette chips. But I bloody well did.

Thankfully only £350 for my Varvatos Spectre Jacket. Currently umming and ahhhing over the Royale Filmwear Quantum cardigan, but I might have hit my limit now. I spend far too much in Sunspel. Have about 7 Polo shirts.

The craziest Bond item I bought must have been the Douglas Pell money clip. It is on screen for about .2 of a nanosecond, but hey, it's Bond so I got to have it!

Oh there's a good question, craziest prop = price/screen or novel time!

In that case the moneyclip has a good chance of winning.

May I refer everyone to the Tom Ford Harrington Project thread? I think around $2k for a cotton jacket will qualify for some of us. It certainly is for me.

I don't think my SMP300 counts as it is not SA. Otherwise that would be my most expensive Bond item. Now it is just the pairs of shoes I bought (Church's Chetwynd and Ryder III), but my mother always told me not to skimp on shoes or coats.
