Baz's track record when it comes to Bond is: he reported M's death, the fact that Harris would play Moneypenny, the Purvis & Wade rewrite, Waltz's casting, Seydoux's casting, etc
Probably more than likely the dynamic duo or terrible two depending on your opinion of P&W are doing a polish/re-write of an existing treatment. If you read "Some Kind of Hero" you can see how so many of the Bond scripts have gone through an incredible number of treatments, re-writes, etc.

But this could just as well be a CR situation, where they do the initial pass and then someone else comes along to revise their work. Spectre (bringing them in late to rewrite) was the outlier, not the norm.
And yep, Baz was right about pretty much all of his Skyfall and Spectre scoops.

Yes, Baz Bamigboye is one of the best non-official Bond sources there is.
I just keep getting the feeling that the distribution deal hinges on whether Craig returns. My guess is when Craig decides, a deal is announced along with Craig's return, et al.

I don't see how this can be true.
From reading these boards I've learned that Craig is wooden, lacks screen presence, has no chemistry with his co-stars, is too old to play Bond, and is the worst actor to ever play Bond.
Why would any distributor want such a mediocre (at best) actor to return?

You forgot to mention that he is too short.
So what if his four Bond films have grossed nearly $3 billion at the worldwide box office?

I don't think anyone ever said that Craig is too old to play Bond, just that he looks old. (I know your comment was directed at me.)

Can't imagine why anyone would want him back.
What does popularity have to do with how good something is? McDonald's is the most popular food chain in the United States and has made more money than any other. Does that mean it is the tastiest, most nutritious food?

I agree. There is no way he hasn't made up his mind, and the producers know what his answer is. If he said that he doesn't know yet, they would tell him to F off. He can't be that immature.

Thinking about it dispassionately your point is well taken. Whether you love or loath Craig as Bond to think they haven't known whether he is returning for 25 or not for some time now is just plain silly. Also, again love or loath Craig as Bond, he is a professional and close with the folks at EON, especially Barbara, so thinking he would leave them hanging for so long doesn't seem to fit either. What is not good publicity for the next Bond film is the idea being put out there that Craig is waiting to look at the script and who the director is before deciding. If Craig does not return the assumption then is that the script for Bond 25 is not very good nor the choice of director. Now if Craig does return he can always claim he was set to leave but the script is just so amazing and the director so fabulous that he just could not resist returning to make the greatest Bond film ever. I guess if Craig is done, EON (and Craig) will just need to deny there was any truth to the issue of the script, etc. I just don't see what the advantage is to string things along if it is known that Craig is not returning. It all beats the hell out of me. I just show up to the theater, pay my money and always hold out hope that this one's gonna be a classic. -{

and to you Sir Miles: why is it I sometimes get the feeling that you are off somewhere having a bit of a giggle at the rest of us who
are walking around in blind circles with our theories and guesses. Come clean....and admit you really are Michael Wilson ) -{

If only, huh ?
Everything is speculation :v some facts are out there though...it's known that DC told Eon he quit nearly a year ago...Eon have screen tested...they needed a back up plan should they not be able to persuade DC back...Hiddleston was their pick...a distribution deal will be done when they are ready, it's all 'posturing'...

I doubt that he is being immature at all. I suspect that he knows full well what the score is but is playing nice and buying EON some time probably out of loyalty until they sort themselves out. An announcement that he's left would be awkward without all of the other Ducks in a row
Of that of which we cannot speak we must pass over in silence- Ludwig Wittgenstein.
For absolute definite, Wilson and Broccoli know Dc's stance, it's crazy to think they are not in communication about what's happening. I've said before I believe there was some sort of Fall out or negative vibe during sp, it explains Dc's demeanor towards bond. My personal take is that dc was unhappy with sp's reviews and story, I also believe he was/is unprepared to commit until he's seen a story and or script, this being the case eon have screentested and have the next bond ready for 25 if dc hates the script or 26 if he does a last one.
The Bell helicopter has been around since Vietnam, so it could be used in a historical movie. Not to mention that helicopters played a major part in the two last Bond movies. Then again, they could be lying to us.
Do we know of any EON projects set in 1968 or later?
After a quick google (CCBB is practically unknown here), this is unlikely. The Bell helicopters are still in use, sadly also by our military, so the machine can be used in a movie set any time after that year.

RNoAF no longer use the UH-1D they went out of service in 1990, what they use is the Bell 412 , twin engine, four bladed rotor, a very different beast from the Huey D. Using a D in any modern based movie is just lazy.
The helicopter is still used by many, including the Norwegian Air Force
I think the civilized version is also widely used. Be sides, it is said to be a historical movie.
Eon and Sony are working on an adaptation of "Remote Control" by Mark Burnell, which "follows a war correspondent-turned-British corporate intelligence analyst who goes on the run with a former lover when he gets caught up in a conspiracy to destabilize the Chinese economy."
The helicopter could possibly be used in this, perhaps.
I'm thrilled Eon has some projects green lit- a'la the historical war epic with SONY, the bio-pic on Gloria Grahame and so forth. But why oh why couldn't one of these many projects green-lit be the new Bond film?
I wonder what details and specifics for the distribution deal are holding things back? I would love a new Bond film out before even the youngest members on this board reach Roger's age in AVTAK.

Actually the article says they are probably not involved in Bond 25.
Maybe hehadalotofguts meant this news....
Also some guys at mi6 forum say:
