Eon and Sony are working on an adaptation of "Remote Control" by Mark Burnell, which "follows a war correspondent-turned-British corporate intelligence analyst who goes on the run with a former lover when he gets caught up in a conspiracy to destabilize the Chinese economy."
The helicopter could possibly be used in this, perhaps.
Maybe they can get Craig to star in it. Sounds like his sort of thing.
Not written in stone, but it looks legit to me. Cyprus is a beautiful Island, and it has a border zone between north and south where nothing has been touched since the Turkish invasjon in the 70's. Interesting. I assume the shooting will be in the South, since the North is only recognized by Turkey. So perhaps Turkey won't feature for once. But if we belive the reports (Croatia and Cyprus) it is all in the Med so far.
I didn't remember it's April 1st. Neither did I realize the custom of publishing fake news on this day was internasjonal. Does Breitbart News mark the day by NOT publishing fake news? )

Joking a side - it looks real to me.
I wouldn't expect anyone to post something accurate today because it would just be wasted as nobody would believe it. It's sad that if anything terrible did happen today, nobody would take it seriously.
I don't think anyone would post a joke about something really bad (terrorist attack, accident) just because of the date. This report doesn't look like an April 1st joke. Those jokes usually try to trick the public into doing something to prove they got fooled. If the article said Craig would be location scouting on the Nicosia town square this afternoon it would be a joke. I can only find the story in two sources, both on Cyprus, both posted 10-11 hours ago.
It seems to be the same net site, only with different URL's. The article actually claims both the North and the south has been contacted. If that's true my guess is the UN buffer zone will be a location (just as mentioned in the report). Why else contact the North of the Island? The North isn't seen as a legitimate state by the outside world and the only unique location they have influence on is the buffer zone.
Sometimes I worry about you people. Sometimes you worry about me too, but let's keep those feelingen locked up and never mention them to anyone, shall we? :v. Now we have been waiting for months for some real news about Bond25, filling the time with more or less questionable activities. Today we got something that looks a lot like a major location. It might even be true! But only the fine Matt S and the more debateable Me bother to talk about it. To sum it up: sigh.
Iet's assume both the Dubrovnik story and the Cyprus story are true. Those places are in many ways alike. I've never been on Cyprus, but I'll wager many photos from Cyprus could be taken for a photo from Dubrovnik and the other way 'round. The main differences are the UN buffer zone on Cyprus and the ancient walled-up old town in Dubrovnik. Will the plot need both places, are Cyprus and Dubrovnik competing to be location for the same scenes or are one or both of the reports false?
I can't remember reading of P&W going to locations either, but it could make sense. At least if the location was somehow key to the plot and not just a beautiful place for Bond to go to. I know I'm speculating wildly here, but is this a sign that the UN buffer zone is important to the plot?
“We have been escorting a team from Eon Productions (the British film production company known for producing the Bond films) along with Neil and Rob across the island,” commented Antonis Chadjipieris – who works for Orange Grove Video Productions in Cyprus, the company commissioned to help with location scouting on the island.
I did a quick google search on both "Antonis Chadjipieris" and "Orange Grove Video Productions", and the only match I got for either name was that article.
It's also not that easy to get permission to film in Cyprus.
Yes that makes me question this story. I also find that it hasn't spread much and it's pretty much the same report word for word in nettsites in Cyprus. We are really starved of news now ....
Even if you cannot film in the buffer zone you could use it as part of a plot and rebuilt parts of it elsewhere - they did that for Moscow and other places lets face it. All you need are some sample shots and a derelict town, sling up a few posters and cars from years gone by, add the odd UN patrol passing through and hey presto you have the buffer zone
Cheers :007)
My name is Bond, Basildon Bond - I have letters after my name!
I'we been thinking the same thing. They could film in other places on the island for atmosphere and context and build what they need of the buffer zone in England. But it would probably be easier to film some on location and some on set.
The conflict on Cyprus and the Greece/Turkey tentions are hardly red hot issues. I can't imagine the plot hinges on that. Not to mention that we've had enough of Turkey in the recent Bond movies. If this is true it's probably and action scene and some plot stuff, not the main location.
In 2015 Daniel Craig visited Cyprus to observe (and get media attention for) the mine clearing done by the UN there. It seems likely he was shown or was briefed about the UN buffer zone then. Could it be Craig tipped the writers about Cyprus as a location?

Always consider the source. What/who is this Bondlifestyle? This doesn't look official or well documented at all.
The Cyprus story has been mentioned on MI6community, a couple of local net sites and us. It's possible it's suffering from being publised on April 1st, but it's awfully quiet around this story....
Just a fanaccount, nothing more. Don't think it means anything, only someone who likes to see Craig return -{
Don't confuse me with the other DutchBondFan, but be sure to follow his YouTube account. You can read my articles on James Bond Nederland: www.jamesbond.nl/author/gosse/
It's interesting that DC has been in the UK for a while now, babs has also been over here. Maybe they've been comparing diaries before he goes back stateside to film purity?
Like I posted over in the Next Bond After Craig thread, it would be very interesting to know how legitimate pagesix's "sources" are...because a lot of international news sites are carrying their story

It's oddly seriously written for an article published on the 1st of April.

That's what threw me with the article as well.
I can understand them going to places for inspiration. But do writers, especially Bond writers, usually go and scout locations for the film?

Looks very "Bondish", that's for sure.
