It's not hatred. It's called questioning decisions and criticise them. Also giving my opinion which with some people is very unpopular.
I won't say anything more about this matter than this.
Fact is, I can easily admit, I am not happy with this scenario. Four years after SP we get the same old team. Wouldn't be surprised if it even was Mendes again in the end, even if that seems unlikely just now.
Only way my interest could be revived in this era would be a director that I can get excited about. But that's unlikely too.
I still am the die-hard Bond fan I have always been since laying eyes on Dalton in TLD in 1987. But as some felt in the Brosnan era I feel now in this era. Craig overall never felt like Bond for me except in SPECTRE which I wish would bookend his era. CR-SP would have been the best bookends in any Bond era, by far.
I just hope that by 2023 or whenever we'll finally get a new team, an actor will be chosen that resembles the Fleming Bond again. Otherwise they can as well cast an American, a woman or Idris Elba.
I'll always have the first 20 Bonds and I'm watching them excessively lately ) Not to say I can't enjoy CR or QOS, both have their entertainment value. CR is a classic for various reasons, the least of which is Craig (for me).
I hope Bond 25 will be all you wish for. Maybe in retrospect if Bond 25 is another GF, TSWLM or GE I can enjoy and love it. Hope dies last.
What a drag you are being. Quit maligning Bond 25 before you've seen anything and hope for the best.
Agree with him being a drag. We just got our news and many of us are very happy. Always someone has to be negative
No worries. I know I am supposed to be celebrating everything that gets dished up by EON.
I leave you now to have your party for a Bond film in 2019 with a 51 year old actor. He will certainly be full of energy after the four year beauty sleep ) ) :007)

Have you seen him? he's in amazing shape for his age.

The Craig films started with Bond having just become a Double-0. Having them end with him later in his career I see as a plus. It will make his finished series a much more interesting body of work to me...
Very true, Hardy doesn't exactly stay match fit between films.
I think our friend bjb006 has picked up some bad habits from.... That other place.
I think Hardy was one of the few potential Bond replacements who can match Craig's physicality in terms of brute force and violence. But yeah most of the other contenders didn't seem particularly fit or imposing, especially frail Hiddleston.
I can't think of many Bond fans who overly criticise brozzer in dad, the film yes but not brozzer he was 49 then and in no way has he ever been in as good shape as DC I just don't get the age issue at all. With the exception of Dalton we've had an older bond in every tenure. It's the script and story that will bond 25 will live or die by.

Hiddleston didn't look to bad in skull island but not on a par with Craig or Hardy, my point is that dc has had some stick for his middle age spread recently based on a couple of pictures, but like Hardy and pretty much every other male actor he'll train up for a movie
It was either that.....or the priesthood

he said Bond25 will more than likely be his last one?
He gave Colbert a scoop...bit I think he's going to leave the 'big reveal' to Eon. Just my gut feeling.

Let me add my voice to the chorus. I am very pleased Craig is returning for one more go at it and if it's his last I hope it will be a fitting swan song for a terrific Bond actor. The SCRIPT will be the key.
Glad Craig is returning for Bond 25. He did a great interview with Colbert. He appeared relaxed and at peace and really seemed to feed off the audience's response when he announced he would be back as Bond. The Logan Lucky clip was a hoot and I can't wait to see the film. Craig looked fine and the good Bond haircut didn't hurt. No doubt he will start hitting the gym and get leaner for Bond. If Bond 25 is subpar it will not be because of Daniel Craig. Now here is my recipe for how Bond 25 can rise back up to the level of CR and SF and have Craig go out on a high note:
- Go back to Fleming. PTS should be a reinterpretation of the end of OHMSS with Mr. Hinx leading the dirty work. Madeleine is dead.
Bond resumes his career as MI6's deadliest "00"
- The rest of the film is a faithful adaptation of the YOLT novel retitled "The Garden of Death" or "The Death Collector". Even Purvis
and Wade can't screw up real Fleming material. Bring in someone really good to do a polish of the script (maybe even give
Tarantino a shot....he really has a knack for great dialog and he can make Waltz into the Blofeld he should have been).
-Bring in the best young director you can find who really has an affinity and respect for the Bond canon and can bring back the
suspenseful action thriller aspect that made the early films so special.
This is interesting. These are taken from the Variety article regarding Craig's announcement he is doing Bond 25.
According to Variety “White Boy Rick” director Yann Demange is the frontrunner to direct Bond 25, which is dated for Nov. 8, 2019. After Eon Productions’ deal with Sony ran out after “Spectre,” the franchise is in search of a new studio for distribution. Warner Bros. is believed to be closest to landing the deal.
Good to hear that he is coming back for one final bond movie. They need to line up an all star cast & director and make sure the plot is amazing...I also don't think they should bring back Thomas Newman for the score... I would like to see David Arnold return....It would be awesome if Craig did one more after Bond 25 but I doubt he will.... this is very similar to Christian Bale when he said he is hanging up the cape and cowl after DKR.
Daniel Craig is very good at being James Bond. They need a great script, a serviceable score, and a director who doesn't get in his own way. The rest will fall into place.
I heard a short quote from Lucy Fleming tonight on the radio, she says that she is happy Daniel is returning and that according to Ian Flemings notes on the character he actually comes very close to the character and in her opinion has been the actor for the role in modern times. As she is custodian of the Fleming estate that's as close to a Fleming blessing that we could get -{
Someone had earlier posted about the frequency of Bond films vs the Mission Impossible films, with the point that the MI films were more frequent. Not exactly. MI (1996); MI-2 (2000); MI-3 (2006); MI4 (2011); MI-5 (2015) and MI-6 (projected for July 2018). Also, MI-6 reportedly will be the first 3D MI film (EON, please never a 3D Bond).
Reading a lot of the comments under the announcement made on the official Bond facebook page seems to mirror this quote. Quite a few comments saying how this film has to make up for or learn from Spectre's mistakes.
This is what Skyfall and Spectre did, and that's what we need to move away from.
They're not going to want to move away from the billion dollar box office...but there's more than one way to get those numbers. The writing is Job One. There's no harm in a marquee director and 'name' supporting actors, as long as said director executes an effective vision, and has a solid script as a road map.
I wonder how long we'll be forced to chew on this one morsel of news Hopefully not past September...

I thought he looked genuinely moved by the strength of the audience's response when he announced he'd be back.
As I said somewhere else here, I've done a complete 180 after rewatching Spectre. DC is excellent, and I'm glad he's coming back for one more.
My next audiobook listen is going to be YOLT. I haven't read it for a long time, and frankly I've forgotten most of it.

Cubby Broccoli once said that he thought that the Batman series' habit of using an all-star cast was counter-productive.
