If they can get a superior script and make it into a very good to great Bond film any reasonable title will be fine by me. We like the real Fleming titles because they have actual meaning to us as hardcore Bond fans. For the general public, not so much. But yes, whatever it is needs to sound "Bond".
What do we know of the Twitter account? Is it legit?
The Bond25 Twitter page reads, "The unofficial, yet reliable, place to discover up to date news on the upcoming 25th Bond film." I'm taking it with several grains of salt. . .

The Twitter account does not come from Gary Barber. There are some key words here I am looking at. "a few weeks", "preliminary", "might". This twitter really does not offer anything. A pup tent psychic could say the same thing.
Just read an interview on Mr Porter( my son showed me! I ant tell Prada from Primark ) ) by Aaron Tayler-Johnson and just reading about the prep he does for each role makes me believe he would be a fantastic Bond, although only 26 he looks older! Maybe even Bond8 if TH gets role for next decade -{
Timothy Dalton certainly got tired of waiting. Five years had passed with one legal battle between MGM and the producers. Timothy Dalton chose not to renew his contract and in April 1994 and officially announced he did not want to be James Bond anymore. Along the way, a third James Bond movie was planned to be released in 1991 and Dalton was contracted for it, but it was cancelled due to the legal issues between MGM/UA and Eon Productions.
What is really telling is the significant drop in revenue when there is no Bond film. Also, MGM's prospects for the immediate future look pretty dismal if all they have to offer are some remakes. It's pretty pathetic but that's pretty much the state of things in Hollywood these days unless you have a good superhero franchise or can grind out a bunch of low budget horror films. MGM's knickers could be in quite a twist if there is a prolonged hiatus until Bond 25.

By today's standards, Craig doing one more Bond at 51 or so is not such a big deal. Contemporary male action stars have a long shelf life these days. Craig's age might be more of an issue with some of us on the AJB than the general public. Of course, EON's feelings (and of course what Craig wants to do) certainly will be the deciding factor.
It works when the action star still looks young (like Tom Cruise) or is supposed to be old (like Sylvester Stallone). Craig does not look good for his age and looks more like he's in his mid-50s in his last two films. Bond being and looking 57 in A View to a Kill didn't really work, and I don't think Craig can make it work either.
Daniel Craig is the most unattractive James Bond. His portrayal of James Bond in Spectre was terrible. Roger Moore was perfect as James Bond and even better as he got older. I enjoy Roger Moore in Octopussy (1983) and A View To A Kill (1985).
Daniel Craig is not Roger Moore and they should not force-feed us into accepting Daniel Craig into his old age as Bond. He's a poker face. He does not express as well as Roger Moore did.

It's funny because when Craig showed up all muscle bound and stocky looking everyone complained that he didn't look like Bond at all and now people are saying Hiddleston is too slight to play Bond. Infact, apart from hair colour, Hiddleston is probably more literary Bond in appearance than most of the candidates, even down to cold eyes and a cruel mouth.
Agreed.
I can imagine Hiddleston in the role...seems as unlikely at first blush as Craigger did. Having not seen this Night Manager, I'm going with my gut.
I won't write him off
I think Hiddleston is ugly too. He could play a cadaver. I don't want to look at him as James Bond.

How the hell did you not like his performance in what is one of the best Bond movies?
I think Craig gives the most wooden performance as Bond in any Bond film. He has no chemistry with Eva Green. The dialogue is some of the worst in the entire series. The action scenes are extremely boring. I rank the film at the bottom alongside Die Another Day.
I agree. Daniel Craig was terrible in Spectre. It's only going to get worse. The last two James Bond films are all messed up. I miss the classic James Bond with Bond flirting with a white Miss Moneypenny. I like Ben Whishaw as "Q" but some probably feel "Q" should be older. If they ever get a new actor to play James Bond 007, they could change who plays Miss Moneypenny and "Q".
I liked Jeffrey Wright as "Felix", but they haven't used him since Quantum of Solace (2008).

I actually think Daniel Craig gave his best performance in Spectre, though it was still rather wooden. I think Q could stay on with a younger Bond, but if the next Bond is too much younger than Naomie Harris then Moneypenny will need to be recast too. The almost 12-year difference between Lazenby and Maxwell wouldn't have worked if it was written like in Connery's films, but the script did well by not giving them flirtatious relationship. Wright's Felix may be too old for a new Bond, ending up with the awkward Connery/Linder relationship in Goldfinger.
I don't think there is any reason to re-cast the MI6 regulars or Felix for a long time, regardless of who the next Bond us. They are first-rate actors and none of them are old.

Exactly. Great cast of characters. I am not a Craig fan either, he misses the sophistication and class that Brosnan, Connery had. But must admit he made some great Bond movies and I thought his performance in SPECTRE was his best.
We might need a new Bond, although Craig is still physically very fit despite his age, but the rest of the cast can stay. my only issue with the 'supporting' cast is that they might be too much involved in the stories: I dont need to see M, Q and Moneypenny in missions together with Bond.
I prefer Bond to come to M's office, gets a briefing, flirts with moneypenny, collects his gadgets from Q and gets on with it. With such established actors now in those supporting roles, I expect that they will be more involved in the stories, which is not something I would like to see. At least not every movie.
Perhaps the overuse of the supporting characters is to make up for Daniel Craig's lack of screen presence. Craig has less screen presence than a refrigerator.
I feel like Matt gets more and more disdainful of Craig every month! If Craig comes back we might have to put Matt on self-harm watch!
I actually liked Craig and Casino Royale back in 2006.

But just a tiny pinch of hope.....
It was during the last conference call that he confirmed that Bond 25 "was in development".

Deadline and HMSS Weblog have reports on the conference call which took place yesterday (ealier than last year) and Bond 25 was not mentioned at all.
