Craig released his message about Sir Roger's passing via the official 007.com Instagram account. Make of that what you will ...

As Roger Moore loved Daniel Craig's portrayal of Bond, do you think this increases DC's chances of deciding to do another bond film?

Not really...Roger only ever had positive things to say about the actors and films that followed him.

Roger was only a gentleman and never a critic. Sometimes I found it a little frustrating that he wouldn't speak his mind and it was obvious that half the things he said he didn't really mean. But that was also a great thing about him, that he always was so polite.

Ever the gent. I'm still hopeful for DC to return and I think behind the scenes the pieces are falling into place.

I hope a new Bond movie could be presented on the new HMS Queen Elizabeth aircraft carrier. Especially if the movie has a naval theme or/and a new Bond actor is presented. Airline the press out with helicopters and place the cast and director on the gigantic lift used for planes. Imagine them gradually being listed up to the main deck while the Bond theme is being played - it would be spectacular!

Those who want Craig back will see Logan Lucky as a recharging of his batteries, and a perfect palate cleanser for Bond 25.

Those who don't want Craig back will see it as proof he's walked away.

I don't see it as either. It does actually look good and quite a departure for Daniel Craig who may just steal the picture. The "Introducing Daniel Craig" credit was interesting however if you want to read anything into that. In all honesty, I'm just really tired of the radio silence regarding anything official on Bond 25. As much as I'd like to see Craig come back for another, at this point I'd be more than fine with an official announcement that Tom Hiddleston is taking over.

I have no idea how this will do critically and commercially, it's kinda hard to pick, but this looks like a ball of fun and i'll definitely be going to see it! And DC, wow! All i've seen regarding this movie are pictures, so I just assumed he'd be playing a rough and tough con with that classic Craig booding, scowling attitude...so that was definitely a pleasant surprise and I can definitely see him stealing the show

It supposedly generated some serious buzz at the Cannes Film Festival. Will be interesting to see the first trailer.

Not sure that 'Logan Lucky' is really my type of film, but I am curious to see what it is about this film that brought Soderbergh out of retirement. And it will be great to see Craig doing something completely different to his other roles.

DC has not had a major hit other than Bond has he? Personally rather enjoyed Defiance and Girl with Dragon Tattoo although thought Swedish version was far better!

When I first watched this trailer and saw Craig it reminded me of when Pierce did The Matador. A film where he just says "f*ck you" to his established Bond persona and lets loose.

I think it's too early to judge. I've seen great trailers for bad movies and (more rarely) bad trailers for good movies.

Seconded. Craig has a veeeery different voice in the trailer. Maybe the joking around they did on Daniel being dubbed in SPECTRE was actually true. Either that or he's improved upon his Tomb Raider accent.
    a reasonable rate of return

Many actors juggle from one film project to another. Its not over till its 'officially' over.
Ok - Mr Craig may be in this... this, - this.
But I am NOT watching that! :s
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

"Logan Lucky" doesn't look like my cup of tea, but there is a reason its director, Academy-award winner Stephen Soderbergh, is one of the highest-paid in the world. His films have earned billions. I wouldn't write this off as a box office bomb for Daniel Craig before the fact.

I think the "Introducing" thing is a fantastic humourous touch - as if nobody's seen Craigger before :)) This film looks like quite a lot of fun to me!

Stephen Soderbergh is a talented guy and knows his way around a comic heist film and can get a lot out of a good ensemble cast. Craig, by his own admission isn't an accent guy, but an American Southern drawl is generally easier to pull off by someone with a natural British accent than other American dialects. Logan Lucky is being released mid August which is basically after all the big summer blockbusters have been released so the public is usually ready for something different than the usual superhero cartoonish action fests by that time. It's kind of a dead time at the movies so if Logan Lucky is any good, it could do very well. The film with Halle Berry doesn't have the look of a big hit but you never know.

I was actually impressed with Daniel Craig from what I've seen in the trailer. I didn't think he could play a character with any personality, but I was wrong!

I'll be going to see it, in fact I have quite a list for this year, Ryan Reynolds new one with Samuel Jackson, and also American assassin, wild river and of course blade runner. Craig looks to be having fun and I enjoyed the oceans films, he also can do humorous well IMHO.
