Life's Little Pleasures

What little things in life that cost very little or even nothing at all makes it one of your life's little pleasures?

I will start the ball rolling by saying that during a hot stuffy night it's when you turn your pillow over and then rest your head on the now deliciously cool side.
Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.

That first day of spring, when the weather has turned just warm enough to not to need to done a jacket when taking the trash.

Enjoying a cup of coffee and reading a book in the mornings, between breakfast and going off to work.

Enjoying a breath of fresh air in the morning from the open door and hearing the birds singing.
And then I discover those mole hills again B-)

Well in the old days it used to be just switching on Ceefax and finding that a nuclear missile was not in fact headed our way. Only then did I feel safe to make breakfast. :D

Rising early on a Saturday morning and cooking the sausages, eggs, toast etc while listening to the radio. Setting the table. Then calling the wife and whatever kids/grandkids are around down for breakfast.

Of course he would. He's so dumb he'd never even consider that they aren't even molehills :v His association skills are not great. In fact he has no skills, except in annoying, in that he excels.

Making a batch of your own ale, which will cost a fraction of the bottle shop price and taste heaps better. And there will be nothing better to drink straight from the fridge on a hot February/March night!

I enjoy a Sunday morning breakfast. Sat at the table before anyone else is up, listening to some decent music, drinking coffee. If only every day was Sunday...

I recently watched a tv show starring my favourite chef Mr Rick Stein , in the opening credits ,there is a shot of Rick sitting on a rock in lands end eating a Cornish pasty ,well ive sat near that very spot ,and like Rick ,stuufed my face ,with one of Cornwalls treasures
a piping hot tiddy oggy . This was a 2 handed job,it was big ,but my wife and I ,sat there basking in the Cornish sunshine ,watching the Atlantic roll in from the Americas ,getting slowly sandpapered on our faces from the sea air blowing in from the west . This would go down as one of my lifes little pleasures .
By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?
