On the west coast of Norway too! Have you noticed the "prewailing winds" of Northern Europe during weather reports? It comes from SW in the Atlantic. Then the winds go NE past the British islands where some of the rain lands. The clouds continue NE to the coast of Norway where the clouds meet the mountains and all the rest of the rain is unlouded

When I worked in Burnley many years ago, you would know that the sun had made an appearance by the proliferation of chavs walking around bare chested in their trackie bottoms with their overweight parents wallowing on the sofa, dragged out onto the pavement, watching a TV balanced on the window ledge.

reminds me of travelling by train down to Landan Tarn and passing through the fens near Cambridge. a giant heap of burning wood lay piled up in a field close to the railway. I think the locals had just 'discovered' it....

My little dog ,is a great pleasure to me ,as im sure any fellow pet owner here will testify ,
at the moment she is fast asleep ,snoring her brains out ,but we don't mind ,
she is always in the way ,especialy when theres food about ,but we still love her ,
she costs us a small fortune at the vets (it would be cheaper to buy a new dog) )
she always wants to sit ,where I want to sit ,but we miss her every time we go away ,and she misses us too.she is a big worry when its holiday time ,to the point where we worry on holiday if shes ok ,but she goes the breeder who bred her ,and all her family are there ,so I don't think she worries to much about us ,But the joy of keeping a pet ,brings massive joy and pleasure and it will be a sad day when she goes to the big Crufts in the sky

Wife and Daughters are upstairs watching the myriad of soaps and chick programmes.
We can be downstairs watching "When eight bells toll", Bond, Die Hard or The Italian Job
in peace ! He also not only listens to all my opinions but I can tell from the look in his
eyes that he agrees with them ! )
It's also a laugh with the Fast and Furious films as he up staring at the telly, itching to get
chasing those cars. either that or he's a big Vin Diesel fan.
