M&S 'made to measure' shirts

Wondered if anyone had tried the M&S 'made to measure' shirts - you can specify them with a cocktail cuff and there is a range of collars available also.

You don't input measurements (just height, weight, collar size & 'fit') so they aren't really 'made to measure', but I just 'designed' one and it came out at £49 which seems incredibly cheap. Just wondered if anyone had any experience with them?

I've bought a couple. One I white and one in light blue with cocktails cuffs and cutaway collar.

I was happy with them. The slimmest fit is very slim and the collar is an unusually stiff material, but overall pretty decent for the money.

    Two more on order

Thanks for that - which fabric did you choose? It's difficult to tell exactly what the fabric is like on the website.

I bought the £49 fabric. Seemed reasonable quality - save for the collar which is a little different on texture. I didn't see the point in spending £70 if no good

Hi Folks - has anybody else got these and what do they wear like - am thinking of using the Morocco outfit for a Christening on ST Michael's Mount in Cornwall and fancy the shirt - is Worcester the best material and how slim is the "slim" fit?

The quality isn't great. You get what you pay for.

Thanks - do you have some and if so which material did you go for? Thanks

I have three, different material and cut as I'd heard positive things about them on here. But they are not good. Compared to T&A and Sinclair, they obviously don't hold up to that quality, but what drove me nuts was the cuff. It doesn't hold its shape and looks shoddy when worn. Spend a bit extra and go with Sinclair. A sharp cuff that keeps its sharpness is needed with a cocktail cuff.

I've posted a reply on another thread as the one I bought has been quite good. Wondered if it was the different material that makes the difference? My fabric is the Shrewsbury 1, I've found the cuffs have retained their shape maybe because the shirt is still relatively new and when ironed with a steam iron easy to get back into shape.
I agree that T&A and Sinclair will be a better quality shirt and normally I would also say buy the best quality you can (in anything) as mainly, as you say, you get what you pay for,; but as perhaps a 'budget' shirt compared to say the SA TF shirt, I'm happy with my M&S one.
