VARGR Comic Book series
PPK 7.65mm
Saratoga Springs NY USAPosts: 1,256MI6 Agent
Hello all,
I noticed that their currently was not a thread for the James Bond comic book series from Dynamite Comics so I started one.
I must say that I am thoroughly enjoying reading it( I got in comic books at the age of seven) and the artwork is fantastic too. Their are a lot of callbacks to Ian Fleming's novels such as Bond looking like his literary description and the fact that he smokes cigarettes a few times as well. Another note of interest is that the Walther P-99 is Bond's handgun of choice rather than the PPK.
Finally the action scenes are well planned and look great thanks to illustration by Jason Masters.
If you have not yet read this series, I highly recommend it since it is the first James Bond comic book to feature an original story since 1995's The Quasimodo Gambit.
