This all started when the UK politicians understood there was a growing discontent with the EU within the UK, Cameron offered the referendum to secure votes, which it did put him in power and so he had to hold it. And as it turns out this may be one of only a few times a government has followed the will of the majority electorate. The decision to leave is the democratic choice of the eligible voters. A lot of which were Labour voters who wouldn't follow their party line!
I am dissapointed in Cameron the "we are not quitters" politician just upping and quitting. And looking at the markets last week the FTSE 100 finished the week higher than is started. Sterling has been hit. But will continue to recover ground over the coming time frame. Though unfortunately rumblings from Italy, Spain in particular are most worrying.
I saw Cameron on the TV as he attended an armed forces day celebration in Cleethorpes - he looked every inch the broken man. I'm guessing that this will be the very last time the ball will be passed to the great unwashed.

Imagine that e.g. France would hold a referendum which ends in a "leave EU' vote.
Now they refuse to pull chapter 50 and hold that back for 4 months until they have 'sorted themselves out'.
The Farage and Johnson boys would have a field day slamming France and the EU for such a kind of drag play.
Seriously - there was a massive Leave Campaign and no-one really has a plan how to move on after they succeed?
And may I add that Cameron during the campaign said several times that the next day after a Leave decision, he will pull chapter 50 and lead the country out of the EU.
Seems to me that the Brexit camp easily criticize others but are probably worse themselves.

the conservative party can sort itself out. In my opinion Cameron is a disgrace,

At the end of it, I really wanted the UK leaving the EU ( for different reasons from the Brexit Campaign)and I want the UK leaving the Union as fast as possible after hard negotiations from the EU side.

The EU, in some cases is/was a good idea, but it's impossible to keep everyone happy and I think a few members are now going to do the same as us and question if the cons really outweigh the pro's.

The remain crowd gave us the worst case scenario with a healthy dollop of fear on top, the public didn't buy it.
