IMO he's absolutely correct.
The question is to me, how far Trump will be able to destroy critical media and the legal system, global climate, international relations etc to a degree that the necessary turnaround is not possible anymore.
I am reading that only a bit over 50% voted last Tuesday. I understand that many people on the left where disappointed by Hillary, but now they've gotten Trump with their passivity.
Not sure if that makes sense now.

Why don't you at least listen to what Brand has to say? You can't pass judgement without hearing him out.
I've heard his act before, He gets involved in British politics too. He's also

I have to say I agree with tp here, I have no time for brand or his skewed view on life or politics, his over procrastinations are tiring and offensive to the ear, and I believe he uses these events as a platform for himself, I'll tell you what wrong with the elitist wealthy brigands who get fat suckling from the teat of the hard pressed working man......yeah lock yourself up in your 3million. Pound apartment and count your money you champagne swilling toss pot. He's on a level with that other working class hero scargill, taking advantage of things he voted against to further his own considerable wealth, and Derek Hatton who claims to be working class hero while driving round in a rolls Royce wearing a 25k watch..... This is very true, but the danger is that with journalists showing a warped view, these protests could become about racism and the real issue gets lost in the rhetoric.

( all over) the right wing parties are taking advantage of it by offering, something new or a
change.
The brexit vote, showing how many parts of the UK, have been abandoned by government,
with no benifit of being part of the EU to be seen. Factories closed and people having to live by
getting supplies from " Food banks". Same in America, Loads of forgotten cummunities, no Jobs
and having to live on charity hand outs.
Many can see the wealth is being kept by the political/banking classes, even in many places the
middle classes don't even exist anymore. so if the mainstream politicians, can't help. People will
look else where. The far right look set for big wins in France, and Italy has it's own Brexit party,
hoping for success in elections soon. So if the Politicians want to stop this drift to the right, they
need to start bringing in ideas, for jobs and ways of sharing the wealth a little more evenly.

The fact is that the votes for both trump and brexit were a vote for the chance of a change as opposed to more of the same. Opposition parties don't win elections incumbent governments lose them. I can forsee dramatic politics all over the world, Italy has an anti Eu party making significant gains and controlling Rome, I think people need to look at what is actually happening and not join in with the fervour of biased and inaccurate reporting, lest we hit fever pitch on unsubstantiated nonsense.

I didn't hear anyone from the Left complain about the Electoral College when Obama and Bill Clinton won their respective 2 terms; it doesn't matter how large their margins were, but the same system was in place and was at work in those elections.

Ok, people have gotten realy sick of the traditional elite and voted for Trump because 'he was different'.
Now look at his shadow cabinet: Giuliani, Ginrich, Christie, Perry, Myron Ebel, Harold Hamm
All of them are part of the system, have been lobbying for rich multinationals and as Republicans are now hitchhiking in Trump's success.
And those disappointed people are now telling us that Clinton was not the better choice?
