Not the greatest lighting and I think there are some other pictures on here from Skippy but here you can see the front of the SPECTRE tie and the back of the NM tie.

Im not usually one to complain on here but since another member on here mentioned the same thing happened to him I thought I'd bring t up.

Immediately after I posted this for sale MajorBoothroyd replied and sent me a pm saying "I'm interested in the tie get back to me soon please." so naturally I respond right away and then never hear back from him, a few days pass so I send another pm asking if they are still interested in the tie as I have received interest from other people and I have still not received a response back despite said member having been active on the forum every single day.

Now I don't care if you don't want to buy this but just please don't waste my time, or that of other members if you have no interest in buying things listed for sale and above all at least have the common courtesy to respond saying you are no longer interested.

Simon, I never got a pm back from you. Please forgive if it didn't seem that way. Could you pm a reply?

    Thanks.

People like you have been known to be very greedy. It's not about honoring your word, but grabbing the nearest guy with a wallet?

What word would you have to honor if he never got any of your PM's :)) Some people 8-) Don't worry mate, you get tyre kickers and wasters everywhere. Some people just like to argue when there's nothing to argue about. At least it's been made public now so we are all aware.

A couple guys have to gang up on the guy who got cheated out. How about we discuss this over a telephone conversation? :))

How did you get cheated? It was still available last night and only sold late morning today. You had plenty of time in the eight days you originally said you wanted it. You've been outed, and not just on this sales thread it seems.

Explain yourself, if you think you've been cheated. How?

Major Boothroyd, since you're undoubtedly reading this: Please reply to the PM you opened yesterday at 14.15.

Hurry, Major. I am not renowned for my patience.

Thanks to everyone who sent PMs. Major B has now been banned and this thread re-opened- unless the OP wants it closed?

    Failing to reply to pms

    I can see a pattern :D :D :D

Anyhow, there are not many people on AJB that I would do this for, but I regards sruzgar as 100% reliable and trustworty.
He even offered me M's seat at Rules - I wouldn't have been so kind :D :D

Well if we'd have known you were going to be there, we wouldn't have turned up. It was MRS Higgins we invited.

You can't just walk in there and sit down for the night you idiot. Ordering food and champagne is a prerequisite for getting a table.... WITH SEATS.

Obviously too stupid to even spell that right :D

Last time I've checked, they had prices for food and drinks but not for "seats" or "tables" :v

    Well this digressed lol

in the interest of transparency here was the conversations, I send him two PM's the first one was the same day he message me:
    Hi there,
Sadly I did not hear back from TF and Im 99% sure they do not have any more of the screen accurate ties as they were all made to order and paid for in advance. Happy to sell you this one if you want it? Just paypal as a gift to sruzgar@xxxxxx.com and I can get it shipped out.
    Regards
    Simon

The second was on July 1st:
Hi there, are you no longer interested in the tie?

I got no response until I outed hi in this thread then he PMed this:
Hello, I just want to reiterate that I'm sorry if you felt I was avoiding your questions. I have a lot on my plate right now, and I've not paid attention to my other commitments. I would feel better if you offered the tie to the other people waiting.
    Thanks,
    John

So I didnt think that warranted a response and I sold the tie to someone else! He then sends these:
    NO reply back?
How chivalrous of you, at least have the common decency to reply back?

    My response:
    sruzgar wrote:
Decency?! You acted like you were desperate to buy this tie and then ignored me for a week, asked me to PM you again only to say that you dont want it, I had people waiting on standby for you to get back to me.
Immediately after you posted on the thread that you were interested I got several PM's from other members warning me about you wasting their time but I figured I would give you the benefit of the doubt. So please dont talk to me about decency!

and thats when he sent this:
People like you have been known to be very greedy. It's not about honoring your word, but grabbing the nearest guy with a wallet?

Think I mentioned earlier the tie cost $233 and I sold it for $200, Im no mathematician but that seems like I took a loss!

I've asked my accountant to crunch the figures on that deal, but he's said the ZX spectrum is currently down for maintenance.....

I'll have the smoking monkeys run the figures through their typewriters first thing tomorrow morning.
