FS: Screen-accurate Mr White Dior Jacket, Size 48

It his with a heavy heart that I'm putting up my gorgeous Mr White Dior Jacket. It has never been worn, except to take photos for this site, and only indoors. It should go to a new home, and cherished. Pretty gutted to let her go, but needs must. Please PM me with serious offers.

That's too bad but understandable, its such a massive investment for a piece of clothing that its ludicrous even by Bond standards.

    Hi Blair

Could you pm me some measurements, chest, shoulders, arm and back length.

Never tried one on but believe they fitted on the large side.

    Im a 41 TF and 6ft....

Mrs R will string me up but if its too small I can stop the niggling voice in my head.

    Cheers

Still a better ending than Bond's and Leiter's marriages. :p

M, I'm surprised your wife hasn't learned to lurk on ajb.

Welshie, I think you're one of the few to get the SA Dior and actually keep it, let alone wear it in public.

Blair, sorry to see you sell yours.

Thankfully the original blue Dior is well outside my budget. Even if it weren't I think the 48 would be too small for me, especially in the sleeves. That's the same size Mantis had, correct? My rule of thumb is if a shirt or jacket fits Mantis I need at least the next size up.

God help me if a gray Dior in my size ever turns up....

Gents, I know, she seems to have an inside source so sure she "visits"...

    P, if ur a 52 then can guarantee im a 50, damn

S, its outside my budget really, but u know how these things niggle. Plus, Spectre is growing on me!!!

For you, M, and for any other interested parties, here are the measurements that you needed:

Armpit to armpit, when lying flat- 22" or 56cm
    Shoulder- 19 1/2" or 49cm
    Arm 27" or 68.5cm
    Back 26" or 66cm

    Hope that this helps,

    Blair

Crap, I could wear it...So no Blair, it doesn't help at all. :))

Dimensions are quite similar to the Large Royale Altaussee, and a bit bigger in the shoulders than my size medium Banana Republic Die Hard 4 jacket.

Still a few K out of my price range, alas. M, if it works for you and your wife doesn't kill you...

A sit down with three Vespers, each...

She may require you to trade in the AM for a Mini Cooper. Get some Austin Powers with your James Bond.

Sar can handle her beers, may take more than 3 my friends. It also looks like its a 50 for me, the 44 chest (given internal padding) is 1.5 less than a snug fitted jacket ive measured. Could prob get away with just a tee beneath, but want it to be usable as would wear it...

    So think im out...

Thanks Blair for the time taken to measure. If Im in London and you still have it maybe meet for a fitting...

M, were you busy measuring jackets while the Mrs was asleep or is WJ keeping you up?

With a thick sweater the Dior would be a Mantis-approved fit on me, I reckon. Still, I could see wanting to try it on.

Ha, tried on a few last night but was up v v early as just couldnt sleep... W had a lie in till 7 :D

I think a try on is the only def way, but given the internal padding i fear a 48 would be pulling, particularly when wearing normally (ie not for hero poses) and moving arms up high etc
