Trump tweets that he is very concerned that the Russians will fight very hard to have an impact on the next election. Based on the fact that no US president has been tough er than him on Russia he believes they want the Democrats to win. They definately don't want him!
Does he really believe what he's writing?
Some may wonder why I keep writing these posts in the political thread.
It's because I want to remind people that this isn't normal. It's extreme and it's nuts. It's different from any other US president, and not in a good way.

Mrs May dancing? Is this what British politics has been reduced to in the era of Brexit? Well, it is August I suppose, and therefore still the silly season...
Before Theresa May went to the EU summit in Salzburg she said it has to be her deal for Brexit or no deal. In Salzburg the remaining EU leaders said they won't accept the deal May wants. This looks promising ...
This is a poker game. May should call their bluff and
Walk away, saying " so it's a No Deal then, Gentlemen "
We use the WTO tariffs ( like many other countries), we
Don't pay the €38 billion the EU are looking as a divorce
Settlement and in fact receive a refund of around €1.5
Billion for our investment in the EU Sat nav system. Which
They now say we can't use. )
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
I think we should remember that the British peoples voted. They must be obeyed. No one should make them vote again. You should all be careful of people who do not respect the democratic vote. You must defend against this. I speak as some one who does not have a view on Brexit for or against, I only speak about how precious a free vote is. People take this for granted. Be careful you do not lose it.
I also think it would help the 2nd vote campaign, if those
Politicians calling for it, would stand down to force by-elections
So ( if they do in deed carry the public with them ) get
Re-elected with an increased majority, as proof of their beliefs.
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
It's a difficult issue. If or when there is Brexit deal ready I can see there being a new referendum where people can agree to the deal or vote for a return to the EU, possibly even go Ahead With Brexit without a deal. But just a new referendum just to get a Stay vote seems dishonest.
The type where countries vote to join or not, then there is a whole lot of voting about how it should work?
And when a country votes to leave, they negotiate on how to do it?
Remind me what sort of dictatorship that was like that.
It's like trying to leave the mafia ) they keep ..... pulling you
Back in ! Although given how Sh*tty the EU have treated us.
I'd block up the Tunnel can't see why anyone would want
To stay in this corrupt officials paradise called the EU. I'd
Give them the two fingers, keep our £40 billion, and Walk

And then let all export and import pay full customs tariff and checks at the border like you're entering the US every time you visit the EU, including the Republic of Irland.
Only 8% of British companies export to the EU. ...... so under
EU regs, the other 92% still have to follow the EU regs )
As for Borders, how on earth do the other countries on
The planet work. They must all be in recession ? No hold on !
Greece, Italy are in a bad place, even Germany has had to
Reduce their performance predictions with Hungary and
Poland threatened with punishment ) yes, that's a great
Sound union to build on )
The EU is a spent force it's a 60s solution to a 21st century
Problem.
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
The EU overly buraucratic and there are problems with corruption, yes. 8% of British companies export to the EU, but how much of British export or import is with the EU?
Now I'm watching "A very British scandal" on the telly, the first two episodes. Excuse me.

There are problems with the EU, but....
It's an elective dictatorship. There are still plenty of them around today.
"The tough man of the world. The Secret Agent. The man who was only a silhouette." - Ian Fleming, Moonraker (1955).
It's not an elective dictatorship. When an unit as big as the EU is governed the geographical, mental, political etc distance to the regions, countries and individuals gets very long. A lot become compromises, but large groups will feel (and actually get) overlooked and ignored because of the size of it. It's not dictatorship, but I understand how some experience it that way.
The EU isn't too fond of elections, hence why no elections are needed to fill many of their top positions
The same can be said of keeping Books on spending etc...… no one really knows where all the money goes

Yes, it's not really elective at all. In fact, it's run more along authoritarian lines with the only democratic structure of the EU (the European Parliament) having the least power after the Council and the Commission. The British experience of the EU has certainly been poor. Make no mistake about it. That is why a majority of people voted Leave. The ordinary voter in the UK has only had a democratic say in EU membership three times in over 40 years, twice in the 1970s. I would hardly call that democratic.
It's much closer to a diktat and that is how the EU likes it of course. All dossent myst be crushed. Just look at the referendums in Ireland on the Lisbon treaty in 2008 and 2009; they had to try it twice to get the answer they wanted. That's their definition of democracy. It's the same thing with the call for a second EU referendum in the UK.

Like I said, the EU has problems when it comes to the seperation between people and power because of the size.complexity and bauracracy of the EU. Saying the system isn't democratic at all is clearly wrong, something the Brexit vote proves. There is obviously free press too. The right-wing populists have risen in popularity in most EU states lately, and that's refelected in the EU Parliament.

I agree. I think it's actually a lot closer to another form of dictatorship...
