In my experience (owning two of these) the size I take in a TF suit (ie 48) is the size that fits me in their harringtons and their sweaters...the only exclusion for me has been their leather jackets which I size up (ie I would take a 50 in their leathers)....

If anyone wants to send an email to me at david@thebondexperience.com and give me their measurements and suit jacket size I can help them through this...

The below is a cream colored Harrington with all the same details etc as the blue one that Simon is having recreated....older pics of me but in the picture I am wearing a size 48....

Thank you Mantis for your precious help.
    Well appreciated.
Many thanks also to Simon for making this dream come true.
  • Be careful not to leave any misleading comments guys. I do not believe the project has been 100% confirmed as of yet.

Be careful not to leave any misleading comments guys. I do not believe the project has been 100% confirmed as of yet.

This is correct this project is not 100% confirmed, just gathering a list of interested parties to provide a number to TF to determine the feasibility but I am doing my best people!
  • If you are someone who hasn't put your name on the list but definitely would if the project gets confirmed, I would say don't wait, and go ahead and put your name on the list now. Chances are the greater the number, the more likely it is the project will be approved. As it is with any business, the profit has to outweigh the cost. And I assume it is not a cheap process to start the production of a new item. So it has to be worth it for the Tom ford company.

Thanks for all your work on this Simon.

"I would assume that its going to be in the 2000 EURO ballpark, possibly more so please only submit your name if you are interested and no time wasters that we has with the tie project."

It may be wise to take deposits so you can weed out the chaff.

Thank you for arranging this Simon! I would like to put my name down as well. Best of luck arranging this and thanks again for the hard work!
  • Can anyone confirm that Daniel Craig wore a size 48 in QoS?

I believe that Daniel Craig is 5'10 and 180 lbs.

    He wore a 48 and a 50, depending...
  • Thanks

Right folks I have once again been tirelessly working away with TF Milan trying to get them to remake the original TF QoS Harrington Jacket (made of 100% cotton) and they are finally entertaining the idea but in order to fully determine the feasibility and price I need to gather a list of interested people (numbers).

I would assume that its going to be in the 2000 EURO ballpark, possibly more so please only submit your name if you are interested and no time wasters that we has with the tie project.

UPDATE: I would also assume that the jackets will be made in standard sizes, taxes will be taken off for those who live outside of the EU however you may incur customs and duties when it arrives at the destination country. Shipping will be an additional charge on-top of the cost of the jacket

Simon can you please add me to the list? You have my upmost respect for even getting TF to entertain this idea but I know if anyone can pull it off you can. I thought even after the Morocco tie run that TF would dig their heels in on the Harrington. I'm definitely in for this as it is the best jacket from the Craig era, in my opinion of course. Thanks again and I have confidence we can get this project off the ground. {[]
    I'm sorry......that last hand...nearly killed me

Simon, just my opinion, but I'd limit it down to one jacket/person for obvious reasons.

I can see them turning up here and on ebay soon after they are available for double of the price.

That's what I thought, you could sell one to make the original outlay back...or he's buying a second for someone else... :v

An appropriate parralel would be people buying multiple TF items when they are in the stores.

Now you are doing the legwork for them but if it's ok with you - no problem

You know Im just yanking you're chain! However I have spoken to TF and they are OK selling 2 pieces to one client so if anyone does want two jackets, perhaps as a spare or to hold onto for investment purposes that's ok.

I just ask that you split 50% of the profits with me when you do so ;)
