Bond sunglasses

I've always liked sunnies. Until recently it was Oakleys including a pair of pit bosses. Over the years I've had Ray Bans, Bolle, and Rudy Project.
I decided to look at Bond sunnies and bought a pair of TF Henrys which I are great. The Snowdon and Marko are easy to purchase and not over the top price wise. I'd be grateful for people's views on them.
The TF 108 look great but can't justify the price plus not as keen on aviator style. The Persol 2720 look fantastic what do people think of them?cheers

If you don't like aviator style, I'd skip the Marko. I wasn't very pleased with the quality (or lack thereof) of the Markos. The optics weren't great, and one of the temple arms was always a little loose. I wish I had returned them when purchased, but I did wear them. They ended up at the bottom of Monterrey Bay.

Yeah the TF108s are way over-priced, but Indy has replicas coming out soon. Plus you can occasionally pick up a pair of Oliver Peoples Airman at a decent price. I love my pair of OP. Not a screen used color, but they are great.

I have Persol 2720s in Havana and black frames. I like them both a great deal. Much better than Tom Ford. Just make sure you get the right size for your face since there are two sizes.

I've tried on the Snowdons, and they seemed nice, but I couldn't justify the purchase. I know some people here aren't crazy about them. As for the Henrys, a lot of people love them. For me they just seem like average Clubmasters, and as such I'd be happy with Ray-Bans. I've been thinking about getting a vintage pair from the old Bausch & Lomb days.

If you have a wider face you can also consider the Persol 2244 (CR) and the Persol 2672 (DAD).

I don't post too often, but I thought that I might chime in here. As far as the sunglasses go, I was a HUGE fan of the 108's. I have owned several pairs. My first pair, I bought when I was 14 (I am 21 now). I remember doing an awful lot of house chores and car washes for those...they had a great fit and quality to them. I've been fortunate to own 2 pairs of Marko's and have loved them as well for the more traditional-yet-distinct aviator look. I have found some for a good price and have had no issues with them whatsoever. I have sold my Henry's as they didn't suit my face as well as I have thought that they did, but the build quality felt pretty good. The Snowdon's have been my go-to sunglasses for the summer this year. They just fit my face well and are very comfortable. I have both the Havana and black frames and really enjoy them. If you aren't really comfortable with the aviators, I'd say go for the Snowdon's. They have really been great shades and I often get compliments when I wear them. Just my two cents here. {[]

The Markos were junk.. Flimsy.. Lenses popped out.. Nose pads fell off.. Cheapest pair of "nice sunglasses" I have ever purchased.. The Snowdens and Henrys were much better quality.. But the Persols I own are even better.

I've just tried on the snowdens todayi at the airport in 52's which I think is the biggest Size they do. Looked far too small on me and kind of pinched! I have markos and Henry's in 52 and they are perfect so I guess it's the design. I also think they look way too small on DC, he wore the 50's I believe? Anyway I passed despite the good price.
The 108s IMHO were the best built but that didn't stop one of my kids totalling them!! My first Henry's met a similar fate!! I havnt had mfisher's problems with the Marko's but agree ray bans and persol are superior. I have some ray ban clubmaster in havanna and gold I may be happy to sell.
It was either that.....or the priesthood
