Got a good look at the SPECTRE hero mask this week... good enough so that Craig's DNA is on my cheeks! Not washing until Bond 25!

That is kind of you to say. That is the genuine hero mask for the pre-title sequence. I interviewed the maker from the panel on the mask's construction, articulation and etc. He learned it was the final featured poster art when he saw it giant-sized on a New York billboard!

Not sure he'd want his name in public? I was given his details on the proviso that they didn't get passed to others, which I didn't. Not sure how you found him, certainly wasn't my source

I edited my post just now to remove the maker's name. He is good friends with some of the convention organizers and was invited to speak at the same SPECTRE panel as I was.

Part of the panel was me interviewing him about all the mask details. Happy to share details here if those are appropriate without a name credit.

It would have been cool if you accidentally dropped the mask in a readily mixed silicone mold material.

Just back from traveling:

*The mask was made for DC to look distinct, different that the others on parade (his idea and consultations with M and Barbara)

*DC was very kind and professional during the mask-fitting process

*The maker learned his mask made the poster... when he saw a giant billboard display in NYC and he stopped for a selfie!

*The design harks back to a design made some decades before for another theatre (?) production

*6 masks were made for DC, the maker also did Marco's and Estrella's DOTDead masks

*I have good photos of the mask and strap
