Well the upside of the disapproving wives is we aren't all incredibly well dressed destitute bankrupts.
I'm not sure turning up at the local refuge with global suitcases full of tom ford and chukka boots would go down too well ;)
It was either that.....or the priesthood

What's the point In buying these clothes if you're not going to wear them? I could understand like a screen-used item or something but beyond that at the end of the day its just a piece of clothing. I love Bond clothes collecting as much as any other I just try not to play it up as anything other then it actually is.

Unless your making some sort of display or exhibition?
Personally I never buy anything I wouldn't use/wear I wouldn't buy a white dinner jacket for example just because bond has one as I would never wear it.

    Who said suede chukkas?

Right there with you Coop.. My pile of suede chukkas is ever growing... but it is my go to choice for footwear off duty.. After wearing heavy Danners on duty all day 5 days a week.. a light weight suede boot is like wearing slippers..

I buy mine to wear, and I expect them to last a long time. I mean I don't wear them if I know I'm going to run through a Taco Bell drive thru where I might spill on it, but a quality item that is taken care of should last a long while (especially the Barbour - that thing is built like a tank).

I actually think the Craig era clothes will remain mostly fashionable, as they are all classics. The Barbour... the Levi's Menlo (or ones like it) is a vintage jacket that dates back to at least WWII... The TF pea coat is obviously based on an old coat... The Harrington is basically a take of on the Baracuta which has been around forever. The Altausse and Solden are a bit more modern but that's ok.

You guys crack me up with the wife jokes! :)) my wife doesn't like to spend money on expensive things for herself. She is a real simple living type. I'm the exact opposite. :)) so she gets excited when I make big purchases on my Bond clothes, as long as it was in the budget. However, that whole budget thing isn't exactly my forte. And, when I make a purchase out of budget she is, how should I put this... "vocal" about it. But, she always caves. So, I blame her and AJB for supporting my addic... habit ;)
