    Another idea, could be as an iron on transfer. To put on your underpants. So before
    Going to bed, you could use the " slight stiffness coming on " line. ;) That would never
    Get old.
    I think the cufflinks idea is very cool as well. -{

    Cufflinks was my very first thought when I first saw my watchbox! I may also look into this once I've got the pins sorted. Of course if someone else wants to look into the cufflinks?? Or maybe indy? Or there are these

    Cufflinks would be great.
    Thank you Chriscoop for the research!
    This is a fantastic opportunity for ajb007 members to have a special bond item.
    Do you have more info on the size of the pin?
    I hope it is not going to be too big. -{

    The size I'm looking at is 22mm high initially, I don't want them too big so they look like a button badge, if your wearing one I'd like to think people will notice it but have too study it to really see what it is. So far the details are that it will be of a soft enamel manufacturing process, this entails a mold stamp being made to stamp the design on a base metal of iron or brass, the recesses are then filled with enamel and the pin is then baked at 350 degrees Celsius. The pin is then trimmed and polished to a mirror like finish, the back plating will be gold (as I think it goes with the yellow bezants) but Im considering silver aswell, I'd like feedback on that please if you will? The clasp will be a clutch clasp which I think is a standard on pin badges. One of the workshop I am currently dealing with assures me it will look exactly as the photo I've posted.
    I am also looking at having some backing cards printed to mount the pin on showing the full bond coat of arms, I won't include the cost of this as I have a friend who does printing and these won't add to posting costs. We will be looking at a total cost shipped in UK of £5.40 per badge. I'll have to find out costs of shipping internationaly but I don't think this will be much and may even fall within the £5.40 price.
    Just to add I am also considering hard enamel, visually they look similar, soft enamel would have recesses hard enamel is flat.

    All sounds good to me. I especially like the backing card idea. Great work man! I really like the idea of having an AJB symbol of sorts.

    There was an AJB Pin project a while ago. Higgins was organizing, but they're all gone now.

    Chriscoop: those round cufflinks you shared are nice. But I think having the shield shape would be very cool! But I know you're focused on the pin right now and you can count me in for one!

    I am focused on the pins but today I have sent an enquiry for a costing for 20 pairs of cufflinks using the same image as I've used for the pins, personally I would like two Shields connected by a chain though I would settle for knuckle cufflinks.

    Just to keep any interested parties up to date, the pins ARE going ahead, I have been promised visuals for early next week with gold, black and nickel plating. I've also now got prices for hard enamel and soft enamel, hard enamel comes in at only 0.20 gbp or 20pence more.

    Given the choice between soft or Hard, I'd go for hard every time ! :D

    I was expecting the visuals for the pins this week but they are yet to be completed, I've been told I'll have them by Tuesday, so I will post these up when I have them.
    I have had a price back for cufflinks and that comes in at 15.00 gbp per pair, this doesn't include any postage etc and is for 20 pairs, I think this can be done cheaper so I'll keep looking into this when I can.

    Quick update, the visuals have come through please see below,

    I'm prefering the black nickel option as it's more in keeping with the proper coat of arms and will show off the yellow bezants better. If you expand the image so the gauge measures 22mm the small shield should be the actual size we are getting. I will confirm the order over the next couple of days and then arrange the backing cards.

    Sorry I just stumbled across this thread, I had these mocked up earlier this year when I was attempting to get someone to make a pin identical to the Skyfall cufflinks, they were to be Black jewellery enamel and Silver plated 20mm
    ons_pin.png

    It was going to cost £280 for the die to be made then price would depend on number of pieces £12.50 for 10 or £8.30 for 30 etc but I abandoned the mission because they could not get it exact and figured no one would be interested.

    That would be a nice pin badge, shame you didn't get them done.... Would have saved me the trouble :)

    Okay, I've confirmed the order in black nickel, which is most similar to the shield on the watch box, these have now been sent through to production, There will be a run of 100 pieces, members who have already requested badges are on a list.
    I am still looking into the cufflinks but I might contact a working jeweller I know and see if two badges can be connected by some links? I am also awaiting some other prices, but for now I'll see how these pins work out.
