Note: TF vests fit SUPER slim especially through the chest. I'm a 38R that fits this suit beautifully and can wear this vest but its has trendy top pull.
A simply stunning piece. I mean, I really shouldn't have to say anything else The classic Tom Ford Windsor. Seen on the "man" himself. If you are looking for the distinctive TF look, this is it. Solid 3 season weight IMO.
This was originally sold as a two piece but then I bought the vest as an add on. Now, I do consider myself a TF expert and strove to find the exact matching vest and I do believe I did. The vest is black, made in the same Italian production facility as the suit, from the same C range wool (In fact, the identifying fabric numbers are EXACTLY the same except for the very first letter). Same genuine TF horn buttons. The only real noticeable difference is that even though my vest and suit have the same lining material (50% Silk, 50% Cupro) the vest has a striped lining. That's it. Obviously you wont see this when worn.
So you can either think Wow, I'm getting the "steal of a lifetime" by getting a signature TF 3 piece for $850 or you can think "wow, I'm getting a great deal by getting a solid Windsor PLUS a vest for only $850).
This suit does have a couple of conditional issues. The bottom suit button has been professionally rewoven. The trouser waist has some slight wear from usage. BOTH the jacket and the pants need a professional pressing. This suit has indeed been worn and I'm sure you will find little sublte hints of wear here and there. But I do think the pics speak for themselves.
The black TF is really hot right now, just being featured in GQ. I'll let them have the last word...
"What’s not to love about this suit? For one thing, it comes from Tom Ford, the master of luxury pieces that make any guy look, and feel, like a leading man. It’s sleek peak lapel silhouette gives some oomph to the most basic shirt and tie combos and looks equally sharp with a crewneck sweater sitting underneath it."
