Harrods.com??

I placed an order on Harrods.com
a week ago, and the status of
the order says "goods issue"

I emailed them but have not had a response from them.
My card was charged instantly.

Should I be concerned?

You already are, otherwise you wouldn't be questioning what's going on.

I think he knows that. He wants to know if his concern is warranted.

I'm sure Harrods can be trusted to take care of things, though they may need prodding. They have telephone if you want to get in touch with them if email hasn't worked.

Yeah..... ya know I don't think any tongue in cheek/humour translates in text very well.

I'm still trying to figure out what any of this has to do with collecting James Bond memorabilia, only connection I can get is Bond went to Harrods in TLD.

Hope the guy gets his foie gras and bolly ok, maybe it'd be an idea to get on the blower instead?

    Ah, that's when I use emojis. :p

Harrods has sold some Bond items, like many of the Tom Ford items.

If the items were out of stock I wouldn't think it would have let the order to through so it's got to be some other technicality.

I have gotten a similar status with several retailers including Harrods when ordering products they weren't licensed to ship internationally owing to composition such as cologne and alcohol. The sites weren't set-up to recognize a particular item couldn't be shipped out of the UK so the sale goes through.

I'm certain you'll get a response from them shortly; in my case, I recall Harrod's taking a few days to explain the issue.

    What were you purchasing?

Had a similar situation with Selfridges when I tried to order TF Solden jacket. Paid for then a few days later was told it was out of stock. Don't worry, you'll get a full refund but no apology.
    I'm sorry......that last hand...nearly killed me
  • Thanks for the responses.

It is relative because it's a bond purchase.

I called them but their phone has the busy signal.

I'm not very impressed at the moment with their customer service, but will give it a little more time before I draw a final conclusion.

I am aware of a couple of people who have had issues with harrods they appear to have a pretty poor customer service in relation to buying online

I had a problem too , when I purchased the CG lodge hoody.
Sorted it over the phone and eventually received it.
The only worry will be if its in stock , hope you get it.

Are you calling from within the UK?
Weird that you'd get a busy signal as opposed to an automated message of some kind like "all of our representatives are currently helping other customers."
