What is the definitive version of each film: SE, UE, or Blu-ray ?

This has probably been asked before in one form or another, but perhaps not all inclusive in the same thread?

One would hope that the latest Blu-Ray sets would be the best way to watch each film. However, I've heard that not all the Blu-rays are great…i.e Goldeneye and AVTAK still have the cropped/misframed image. Whereas other Blu-rays like YOLT and DAF have weird/bad color changes.

As far as I know, OHMSS is still best viewed on the Special Edition DVD. Others are still regarded as the best on the Ultimate Edition DVD box set.

I want to start my own 007 marathon soon and want to make sure I'm watching the best version of each film.

I am most familiar with the Ultimate Edition DVDs, but recently bought the Special Edition DVDs on eBay. I currently have a handful of Blu-rays, but not the whole set.

This is the tentative list I have put together, but am looking for feedback.

Definitive:

60's

DN- Blu
FRWL- Blu
GF- Ultimate DVD
TB- Not sure
YOLT - Ultimate DVD
OHMSS- Special DVD

70's

DAF- Ultimate
LALD - Blu
TMWTGG - Blu or Ultimate DVD
TSWLM - Blu (What's with the squeezed main titles?)
MR- Blu (What's with the squeezed main titles?)

80's

FYEO - Blu
OP- Blu
AVTAK - Special DVD
TLD- Blu
LTK - Blu

90's

GE - Special DVD
TND- Blu
TWINE- Blu

2000 and beyond:

DAD - Blu
CR - Blu
QoS - Blu
SF - Blu
SP - Blu
My current 10 favorite:

1. GE 2. MR 3. OP 4. TMWTGG 5. TSWLM 6. TND 7. TWINE 8.DN 9. GF 10. AVTAK

I'd say the Special DVD of OHMSS is the most true to cinematic prints I've seen with the Blu being 2nd. The UE DVD looks quite different from the film.
I'd agree that the Special DVD of GE is also closer to the cinematic version in terms of color timing as well.
Still, I feel of all the formats of the Bonds I've seen- the 1980s CBS Fox VHS editions of DR NO- LTK had the best color timing. That color timing combined with the Blu Ray's detail and you'd have the closest home theater equivalent to the cinematic experience.

Blu Ray all the way for all of them if you ask me!

Can I ask what the reason is that you would say the Ultimate edition is the best for Goldfinger? In my opinion the Blu Ray version of Goldfinger happens to be one of the strongest ones out there! (Just like most of the early ones -{ )
