Oh dear, some more reading for you, casino royale remains one of if not the favourite novel.

One of the great joys of watching Casino Royale in 2006 was that it was the only opportunity I've ever had of watching an adaptation of a Fleming novel after having previously read the book.

It is a great novel, definitely one of the strongest in the Bond canon. And while I certainly think the film adaptation is excellent, nothing beats the original Bond novel. I hope you will enjoy reading the rest of the Bond series. There are are some excellent literary Bond adventures in store for you.

I'm old, so I've had that pleasure before. I loved seeing FYEO for that reason.

It's the same for me really. Reading Casino Royale and Moonraker really is like taking a step back in time, and is all the more appealing for it. -{

Not even close. They didn't do Mathis wrong in the book, the torture scene traumatizes Bond, and they made up the first hour of the movie!
