Sunspel sizing

I'm keen to get some sunspel polos. I'd appreciate some guidance on sizing.I'm large in Gant, Ralph Lauren and Oakley.But the guy I get my suits from recommended XL . Is it best to size up? Thanks

Hi Anthony, I've just bitten the bullet and had a rivera shipped over to me in NZ - i am 5'11 with a 42 inch chest, and went for the large - fits like a dream.

its cut/fit is similar to a Road and Gunn "sports fit' large polo if you have a R&G store nearby to try

Im 6' 4" ish and a 44" chest and I always get size L I'm happy with the fit that gives me.

1,78 height 42 chest and I took medium

I'm 5''10" 180 lbs. muscular build and I do a (brave) medium. It fits but... It looks fitted. 42" chest or so. I felt like I was right on the cusp of medium/large.

Sunspel shirts are very fitted I find. If you want something a little looser fitting go up a size. Especially if you have a muscular build. For those with a more average build, you can probably get away with your normal size.

I usually take an XL (6'4", 45" chest, 21" shoulders) but I need a XXL from Sunspel.

Really!!! That's incredible, like I said I'm a shade under 6'4" 44 " chest and 22.5 " across the shoulder and I'm in a size large in the riviera and crew t shirt, I would think an XXL would swamp me??

I am 6'4 my chest I don't tell for privacy reasons :v and find Sunspel in XXL pretty short for me

It was my birthday last week so I have got older but at 41 I haven't shrunk, still a shade under 6'4"

It's a snug fit if you go by your standard size. Also the sleeves are shorter than a standard polo so unless you size up, your underarm hair may poke out.

Chest measurements on the large are 43.3" which gives me a fitted look with plenty on my abdominal area I have a large athletic build.

Definitely 'fitted' and agree that the arms come shorter than an average polo.

Bear in mind that even with careful (cold) washing they shrink a little - not a lot but worth considering if you're between sizes.
