So I was checking out some sites today idly not really interested in buying anything when I ran across something unusual, a TF tie that looked very familiar....

And then I decided, well its a good price so I will pull the trigger. And what was that price you ask?

Enjoy your weekend guys. I might have something even cooler to show Sunday afternoon.

Best,
Stefan

As a non-tie person, which one is this?

I've bought from that site before but rarely check it.

    Stefan,

You've definitely got the correct pattern tie for the Granborough Road tie from Skyfall, but I hate to say it, it's not the correct color or width. TF made a few different color options in the same patterned silk in that season of ties. The Skyfall tie color was never released in a commercial run. The ties that were released were all the wider 8.5cm width (I think) and in different colors, including the metallic blue you purchased. I purchased that same tie from Neiman Marcus a number of years ago and sold it to a member here.

The Skyfall tie was only made when sruzgar was fortunate enough to get TF to do a small run with the last remaining pieces of fabric for this tie and the PTS tie. That run produced 10 of each tie before the fabric was used up. They were all made in the correct width - 7cm, and were not self-tipped, just like the ties custom-made for the film.

Again, I'm sorry to be the one to bring this up. But on the plus side, you got a great deal for a fabulous tie! I would still be proud of that. It's a beautiful tie, and I still regret selling mine. Wear it in good health!

    Kind regards,
    Craig

Definitely the wrong colour and cut. It's more steel grey and black. No blue. And the wrong width as has been pointed out. I have both Sruzgars and a production supplied tie, and they are virtually indistinguishable from each other, but very different from the tie listed here. Sorry :#

That being said, it's still a beautiful tie and a bloody good price, so no harm done.

Here is a pic of my Granborough and my similar, non-SA TF to show the difference in width and colour:

I just saw this post. And to answer your question, nope found this on eBay and it fits perfectly. I ended up paying only $135.00 shipped.

And Blair thanks for the comparison on the two ties, very similar.

    Best,
    Stefan
