Interesting detail on Brunello Cucinelli Morocco Jacket

Forgive me if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but I was re-watching SPECTRE and noticed a button on the BC jacket high up under the right lapel (opposite the buttonhole on the left side), in addition to three functional buttons lower down.

I haven't come across this before and whilst the button in practicality is probably not functional, I was wondering if anyone could chime in with their thoughts. It appears to correlate with the position of the buttonhole on the left side, so is it something to do with this, or is it due to a tab being present on the left lapel, which may have been removed by the costume team, or something else?

I understand that a couple of members have had SA jackets made by Brunello Cucinelli - I'd be interested to hear if their jackets feature this hidden button.

Photos below to show you what I mean.

Do you know, I noticed that the first time I saw Spectre in the cinema, but kind of dismissed it. I never noticed it again on subsequent viewings.

What? And it's not in your global luggage with a grey Tom Ford polo just incase you find yourself on a train in the desert?

Thank you, Jacob Mortensen, for referencing my article.

AKV, the buttonhole on the left side would ideally line up with the button under the right lapel. On a balanced cut and well-fitted jacket, this would be the case. There wouldn't have been a tab. Tabs are for collars to fasten around the neck, since a jacket collar is not ordinarily designed to overlap like lapels are.

Thanks, Matt, you explained it perfectly. I didn't think a tab would make sense.
