Question about Barbour Commander (Beacon Sports Jacket)

Hey everyone,

So I've recently pulled the trigger on the Beacon Sports Jacket (Commander) from Aphrodite1994 clothing. And while everything seem to be perfect, I noticed that the inner Barbour tag is different from the images I saw online of that same model.

Mine doesn't have the big tag, and doesn't mention Dept(b) or Limited edition (image below)



While on JamesBondLifeStyle it appears to be similar to this picture:



So my question if any of you ordered online from Aphrodite, and if my jacket does look like the right one? is it authentic? Did Barbour change that recently? or did I order the wrong item?

Mine looks like it does in the 2nd pic, but I purchased it 3 years ago. Maybe they just changed the label?

I bought mine earlier this year from a reputable retailer and it has the same tag as yours. I think Barbour just switched to their regular tag a year or 2 ago. Maybe it's just easier for them on the production side?

Okay this is some good news, because I feared maybe I ordered some different model or so. Thought it's weird Barbour decided to remove the Dept (B) branding from the jacket.

I have the original Skyfall Heritage and watched the Dept B version come out there after. However recently I saw the new Barbour Beacon Heritage and realised they had changed again. In its latest form it's now part of their standard range and no longer a Dept B special so should be around for a while like the International Range etc.

As above, the Dept. B branding has now been removed and the jacket is now known as the Beacon Sports Jacket. Received my XL yesterday but have sent back today for L exchange.

Think the fit may have changed a smidge as the new jacket felt a little roomier than my previously owned Dept. B Commander in XL.

No fear, your jacket is a pukka Commander like reproduction of the original To Ki To.

@Gomers, yeah same for me I ended up getting the Large reading many reviews that I should size up, while it's good around the shoulders and everything, it feels really roomy around the waist.
