I think the Iglo Village in Finland is the best candidate. It's easy to imagine Bond in the arms of some beauty in a location like this.

Aparently Dubrovnik in Croatia is in advanced negotiations to be a location in Bond 25. Here it is:

Great location and a fan favourite for a while now; I remember fans pointing it out for Bond 22 and 23 already.

You know when you see the shots like those from Number24 it makes you realise there are some truly beautiful places in this world even beyond the mainstream and the ones Bond has already introduced us too.

    Cheers :007)

If Bond is going to go back to California, it should a city less seen on film, like San Diego. From photos I've seen it's a more beautiful and exotic city than LA (I've been to LA, and it's anything but exotic). It's also the second-biggest city in California.

Totally agree I'd like to see Bond in a City he's never been too before.

I'm sure in the novel DAF Bond goes to Sacremento. In the novel TMWTGG there is also a chase on the Everglades using Airboats.

    There will be, my friend.

Man, that Iglo Villiage in Finland looks incredible! Reminded me a little of TSWLM.
I think Roturua, New Zealand could make a wicked Bond location.

The cable car would be a good location for an interesting take on the Moonraker cable car battle, if it's ever re-filmed.

If Bond goes to Japan, perhaps uing the Garden of Death storyline, this train would be a great mode of transport/location:

The Shiki-shima train. Bond hasn't spent much time in a modern luxury train (perhaps the short scene in CR) and it would fit the movies perfectly.

Hang on though, that's a bit too nice for 007 to go on. He doesn't have a good track record with train rides.

There is a lot of nice interior that can be ruined by 007 and a villain...

Seriously, Japanese trains are a class of their own!
I've had the privilege to be in this model on my way from Tokyo to Kyushu some time ago:

    maxresdefault.jpg (German design btw....)

    But design-wise no-one beats the 100 series:

It's true Bond often gets into fights on trains. But there are other possibilities too. Unlike the Orient Express there is a fireplace and double beds on the Shiki-shima train, so a romantic journey with a Bond girl would work.

And then someone like Jaws, Tee Hee or Hinx disturbs their romantic journey.

Love the look of thone Trains, but unless as suggested they can avoid the smashing the crap out of it clichés and use it differently I think they best leave it alone for a while. Like most things in Spectre the Train itself was a missed opportunity.

For me, id love them to make a Bond film in Canada, and actually have it be Canada : Toronto and Vancouver

I know lots of movies have filmed here but to actually have the place be itself in a movie and not dressed up as New York would be terrific. Itd be interesting to see how Bond fits in with the Canadian Secret Service etc.

It looks beautiful and has the magic that the Bond movies need.

[The post below is from Number 24, and it only appears under my name because he asked me to move it here. Barbel]

A new dome around the Chernobyl reactor has just been finished. It will protect from the radiation for 100 years and it has cranes and other remote controlled equipment to dismantle the melted reactor. The pieces will be stored safely underground somewhere.
The dome had to be constructed to the side of the reactor due to the radiation and then they had to slide it in Place. This made it the largest movable object on land. Here it is:

    p04n3g70.jpg

    1480442950320.jpg

    It's rather large:

    Chernobyl+Nuclear+Plant+Accident+25+Years+Later+vs.+To+Cover+By+Dome+1.jpg

But if the dome and the reactor is destroyed, especially in an explosion, it will be a major disaster. I think the dome is spectacular and photogenic and some plot could be made up around it.

There can't be a fight inside the dome because of the radiation. There can be one on it, perhaps involving a helicopter. If Bond or the villan start sliding, it would be very dangerous. If someone started sliding and a helicopter tries to save him, it could be a great scene.
  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 22,425MI6 Agent
That's it! A terrorist is lifted up on the roof by a helicopter to place a bomb there. Another helicopter arrives carrying Bond. Bond and the terrorist fight while trying to get to the bomb. They can only be on the dome for a few minutes because of the radiation. If one of the two men fall and start sliding on the dome, the allied helicopter tries to save him, the opposisjon helicopter tries to obstruct and the man by the bomb tries to start/stop it.

It could be an original action scene using a mix of location shots, a mock-up and CGI.
