    Just image, what a bomb the newly launched Submariner must have been back then - particularly for loaded people who enjoyed watersports and an adventurous lifestyle?

    It's not hard to imagine, which watch the Rolex connaisseur Fleming would have chosen for Bond
    President of the 'Misty Eyes Club'.

    So the above time line does illustrate that Rolex Submariner pre-dates the Rolex Oyster Perpetual from the novel OHMSS and that the Rolex Submariner had the tacit approval of Ian Fleming as THE James Bond Rolex.
