Hi Guys
I am reluctantly having to sell part of my movie memorabilia collection - in your opinion where would be the best place to sell an original OHMSS campaign book with insert?
Also what value would you put on such a book (ball park) - really is in great condition.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Paul

I'm sure that some of our members may be interested in your campaign book. I gather they were a precursor to press kits and were issued to cinemas. Can you provide any photos and details?
Good luck, -{
Many thanks for the reply and the general pointers, will get some photos and further details listed tomorrow.
As promised find attached a number of images of the OHMSS Campaign Book & Insert - both in fabulous condition.
Campaign Books along with a synopsis would have been sent to the cinemas a number of months before the release of the film - primarily to engage with the cinema manager on how best to promote the film and what promotional materials were available to him - posters, standees etc, as well as a general overview of the film.
The only other OHMSS I have recently saw is being sold at www.pressland.co.uk
Campaign Books rather like posters of the time, always remained the property of the film company/distributor and once finished with should have been returned.
Looking and reading some of the posts on here and the sheer dedication that some of you guys go to in the pursuit of your passion/interest, it got me wondering how do you now view the earlier Bond films (60s/70s) when at the time of viewing/making the world was a much different place - technology, PC, special effects - I suppose what I am asking is do you view them differently now to what you did when they were originally released?
Have received limited replies to my inquiry re pointers for the best place to sell campaign book and I am therefore wondering is this the best forum to be asking such a question.
Having browsed the topics with the greatest number of responses, would I be correct in thinking that many of the members here are more interested in dressing-up like Bond ... that s not meant to be rude.
If anyone could point me in the right direction, I would be very grateful - other memorabilia I would like to dispose of are original cinema posters, lobby cards, synopsis, opening night programs etc
Or give people time to respond - maybe they won't anyway now - and list the other times you wish to "dispose of"...including detailed pictures -{
From the tone of your response you appear upset/annoyed.
For clarity - In my original post I was simply asking for help, I posed two questions firstly asking best place to sell such a book and secondly its value. After 200 views of my post and no reply, I came to the conclusion ajb is not the place for such memorabilia.
With regard your quip about making a quick profit - indeed we are, if that is what you call trying to raise funds for a very sick young girl.
Yes you do appear to be rude - remember I am new to your forum, not familiar with your perceived etiquette and so deserve to be cut a little slack.

Sir Miles is right.
If you din't find the correct reply here, sell it in ebay - that's the best advise hat can be given.
AJB is mainly a discussion forum - are you here for that reason?
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
As you confirm you are after a quick profit then you must have a fair idea of its worth...
You call me rude and yet have no idea who I am - and I only asked you for patience...ah well...I wish you luck -{

Yea...and fancy immediately recognising that I'm rude ! The guys psychic )
