After watching TWINE the other night on Sky sent for the T&A tie as thought it looked great with the blue suit/white shirt.
It arrived today and it looks just as good in the flesh - last of my "Self-Xmas presents" :007)
Very quick delivery as well
The suit isn't blue. I believe it is charcoal, though some have claimed it is black.
Yes, think it's been said it was a dark charcoal pin stripe. It looks very dark on screen; blue ray might give a better look. The background to the tie is black but the other colours will mean it can look good with a dark blue suit - which is what I actually meant
This is my first "Brosnan piece" but it did look smart on Sky HD so I went for it!

Okay. I think it would actually clash with a blue suit because of the black ground. I have the tie too.

Think it will go with a few of my suits. I have a very dark blue (looks black in some lights), a black suit and a black/dark grey herringbone type jacket.
Various shirts that will complement this tie as well. Looking forward to trying it with a few different combinations!
Could always buy a new dark charcoal pin stripe I suppose ) Never tried that as an excuse for a new suit - " Well this tie doesn't go with any of my old suits, so I'll have to buy a new one"

Since you have a black suit and a dark grey herringbone jacket, the tie goes with those. Very dark blue will clash with a black tie. A lighter blue suit that will show a clear contrast between the suit and tie could work.

Matt,
Thanks for the advice, I'll try the tie with all combinations and with white and blue shirts
T&A made the blue and brown chevron tie worn with two suits and the red dotted tie. They probably also made the knitted tie in Scotland. Herbie Frogg made the pipeline tie.

Which one was the PTS tie? and Herbie Frogg? never heard of that brand before, are they still around?

The PTS Tie:
Herbie Frogg is still around but don't make the right one anymore.

The PTS tie is the blue and brown chevron. The tie is also worn later in the film with the pick-and-pick (aka sharkskin) suit.

Have you seen Connery's and Lazenby's Bond films? They're all about the limited tie wardrobe!
yeah I know Connery especially re-wore a lot of his wardrobe which was great. Its just in the new era of Bond I always expect him to be wearing a new tie in every scene.
Love that tie and have one myself. It's a bit tricky to pull off (and there's a few hilarious tumblr posts out there about this tie specifically). I suspect Hemming chose the colors for this tie so that it would still look good after being splashed with murky river water...

With that outfit I always thought it was Black 3 Piece suit was in Navy Blue?
Don't forget to add the grey pocket square for a touch of class!
Cheers :007)
