I'd stop them at all.
Eliminates also the folks that come here only to sell.

Another solution would be to punish bumping own sales ads.
And that includes adding pics or infos at the end of the thread in order to bring it up again.

All changes or additions must be done in the first post.

Would banning mean not selling anything? Like pin badges for instance, or things like " world's most famous gun"?

I think, that projects like the Madagascar shirt, the TF ties or your pins should be still allowed. I welcome those.

The problem is, that with the sales ads, the entire clothing mania here doubles up as mot of the FS ads are clothing.

You know how much I'd like you to get banned but not for your pins.

On Styleforum they have a feature where you can only bump your thread once a week. However you can add all updated data, etc. without moving it to the top. I beleive this should be included here to handle what Higgins is bring up.

Also a WTB/Sales section should be made as a sub-forum to the memorabilia forum.

We don't have the technical properties to install such a feature.

The forum is ran free (for all of us) but on a small technical platform with only minor changes possible.

How about a limited scale Buy & Sell Forum within Non James Bond Diacussion?

By limited scale I mean there would be one thread for clothes, one for jewlery and watches, and one for existing and official liscenced merchandise replica props? If additional ones were needed they could be considered by the mods. - Posts would only be for listing items. All negotiantion through PMs?

Items made by members like the AJB pin, or Mini G's crafted props (Goldeneye Keys, Mine, Goldfinger Spirit Of Ecstacy statue) could go into a Q's workbench thread? This could go inside Specialist Bond diacussion?

If we'd be starting a dedicated sales forum, this would open the doors even to more to people who are only here to sell - means abuse this forum.
Fraud would be another potential issue

Then I too say create the Q Bench one for established members for the AJB only projects, and advise eBay, Gumtree etc, for mainstream Buy and Sell. - Leaving a single Bond Collecting Buy & Sell Advice only thread?

Why the wanting to ban things all the times. Last time it was guns posts now it is this. Is this a group for everyone to enjoy and not just for one person likes or does not like? I am not reading sale post as they do not have no interst to me but other peoples like them im sure.
it is best to leave peoples alone to enjoy the ajb for their own reasons and just not to read if not wanting to buy.

I do think an Q branch idea is a good idea as peoples can go to look at these things that they want to sell or to buy.

Is the current spate of for sale threads not due to timing? 12 months after a new Bond film, the novelty of buying items from the wearing off and the time of year?
Just my thoughts but collecting memorabilia and clothing related to bond is a passion shared by many ajb members and to be able to buy from, sell to and trade with like minded people is quite relevant. It also allows new bond fans the benefit of purchasing hard to find items from older and more experienced members.
Would there be such a dislike if people were selling or trading Fleming bond books or John Barry vinyl soundtracks? What about autographs or pieces of screen used costume or props? Surely a Bond forum is where these would safely be sold and traded?

this is good to here and this shud be remembered by all ajb members. I express my opinion. if persons dont like to see one things then they shud just not read those same things and they will not then be upset. that is all but please not to spoil things for peoples who do. I do not read these post but i think that peoples have a right to speak about these things if that is what they like about James Bond. This is not to fight but Please I hope you do not patranise me? I do not miss the point. My point is that all peoples here at the AJB have diferent things that they like to see. the for sale things are one of those things. That you or other peoples here do not like to see these posts is simple, you do not have to be reading them. It is realy nothing to do with talks but buying and selling things of James Bond which people like to do. Why then to try to stop these peoples from enjoying the AJb? it is not best to let all the peoples here decides for themselfs instead of trying to tell us what we shuld be doing here? you know I will speak against such things always. Peoples are members have the same rights to enjoy what they like here yes? It is best to let them enjoy without such things. Just do not read them as other peoples will not like the politics or even the watches talk, they do not ask for this things to be banned? I think in my opinion that the sale posts shuld go to a area for that as someone said but never shuld peoples be told what they can or cannot post things about when the do not break the rules of the ajb and talk about things about James Bond.

I see to look this word up. I think it is not good to say this to higgins. If it is said to me then my shulders are wide but it is not good to be seen to say these words as others do not need to go to calling of names.

We are a friendly site and very far from a dictatorship. The site is owned by a man known as SiCo. He pays the bills and is the boss here. However, he is very rarely present on-site so his appointed representatives are Sir Miles, Hardyboy and myself. I do not think that the majority of the members would consider us as dictators.
