Walther PPK
BCFDRay

Hello all, I'm actually an old member but took some time away and couldn't remember my password or old user name....I swore it was BCFDRay...anyway, during my absence I've aquire a few new Bond items including my beloved Walther PPK.
Now, I know the original PPK is 32ACP.
Mine is 380, hallmarked in 1968, without any import markings, and has brown bakelite grips. I've been reaching Dr.No and I can't really tell, are Bonds grips black?

And remember, there wasn't actually a PPK in Dr. No.

Any other PP/PPK/PPKS owners on the board?
I swapped out the brown grip and magazine to be more modern, but still have them. Off hand, what grips were brown?
I'm also a ppk owner.
If you've ordered that book then all your questions will be answered.
Black grips on all mine. -{

Pardon the pun, but after reading Asp9mm''s review I had to pull the trigger on it
Hi...your old username was BDFC_Ray -{
Interestingly enough, the original magazine I have with bakelite finger extension, wouldn't lock back when empty, but the new ones did.
No, the film suppressors had threaded extensions that screwed INSIDE a threaded barrel...
This must be a bad habit of mine. I'm on here as TmsRay2954, Ray84, BCFD_RAY....I have to stop deleting emails
That's a beauty! I'd imagine it's extremely rare to find. What kind of can is that?
Thank you, I can't wait! I actually sent mine to a place called Rock Glenn to have it reblued. I can't recommend them enough.
Bond has also used the war-time or pre-war pattern PPK. Thunderball comes to mind.
You only see that when it's dropped off the roof and it goes off. The only other time you see one of those is briefly in FYEO. And that's the only time you see Bond hold one on screen. There are several floating around in the States that Stembridge claims are used by Bond in LTK, but that is utterly untrue.
Now I need a supressor! Has anyone ever turned up information on the Brausch?
