I for one would be furious. I paid a small fortune for mine, so if they remake them and sell for $250-$300 a piece.... Well I am not going any further than that.
While I do appreciate the fact that you spent a lot of money to pick up one of the tri-colour ties Stefan, respectfully I don't think people paying a lot for them previously should make a difference for a potential remake. If someone had paid a bunch for a SA Morocco tie or a SA QOS harrington before their remakes (and some probably did), would it have stopped the eventual projects?
I think the only fact that should matter is that there are a lot of people in, and outside, the ajb community who would really want an authentic TF tie in the SA pattern and width (as far as i'm aware this combo has never been available, commercially or even in that last set that Asp9mm was talking about). Even if the remake was a reproduction of the non SA width one, a huge number missed out on that limited number available from TF after SF and frankly probably cannot or afford or justify the high prices that are being asked for these ties nowadays.
So while it might be frustrating or straight up infuriating if a SF, particularly tri-colour, tie remake happens if you've already purchased one for a lot of money, I think it would be something that you'd just have to take in your stride? After all, wouldn't it be better for a fantastic Bond piece like this to be available to as many Bond fans (or probably more precisely Bond clothing fans) as possible rather then the very few who can afford the asking price of these when they do show up? ...But who knows, this little project might never happen so all this debate could be for nothing?

Although I've put my name down for a SF Tri-Colour if it works out, I do understand Nafets47 argument.
I was in a similar position some time ago where I liked a painting (JTM you might have heard of Jasper Knight?) anyway I asked a gallery who had sold this one painting Jasper Knight did if he would consider painting another..."we can only ask" they said.
Sure enough he made another, unfortunately by the time the gallery got it I was in the UK and unable to complete the purchase so they sold it to someone else!
They then told me "but wait he can do another one"... I never went through with it (ended up buying an amazing Bridgid McLean painting from the lady herself) as I really wanted not just the painting but the exclusivity of owning it, I thought to myself if this guy is going to keep painting them as and when people ask him a) mine would become less valuable and b) i'd longer have the only one or one of two out there he could run of an entire series of them and I'd be the one who bought at the "exclusive" top dollar price.
So I get where Nafets47 is coming from especially with the Harrington being made it would be a worry spending so much if in 5 years they did another 40 (unlikely perhaps but not impossible) ..... it doesn't stop me wanting what others have when I don't particularly want to pay the $1000 that's being asked for the tie so I would ask all those that may oppose a SF Tri-Colour, what would you be opposing it for?
I suspect potentially the bucks that are being lost by having more of them out there. Is that a good enough reason? I'm not sure, mingling with such an awesome bunch of Bond fans I'm not sure I could begrudge others from enjoying these little luxuries, but I do understand the argument. All I can do is say I'd like one and leave it to the powers that be as to whether I do or don't get it, if someone wants to sell me one for the retail price let me know -{

You put me down for the wrong tie, only QOS tie I'm interested in is the Greene party tie, thanks! But if the SF ties become a possibility then I can be removed from QOS tie list.

And if there is an agreement reached then one tie at a time would make managing / paying a simpler task

I thought that too as the cost can be a little overwhelming. I had to back out of the Harrington project just because of the timing of the project. It sucks, but thats the way the cards fall sometimes. Also, the fact for TF to be interested in recreating fabric for the project and the whole process it takes for them to recreate them it seemed that they would be more reluctant to do this if lets say for example: we buy 100 ties at 30,000 vs 25 of one style at 7,500 I just don't see them wanting repeat the process 3 to 8 more times. Just my thinking, but like others have said "IF" it happens which I'm skeptical myself, but maybe because Im using a different channel then previously attempted it might work this time maybe not.

At this stage I'm definitely focused on the Tri-Colour if that comes to fruition. Probably my favourite (usable) tie of all of them. I suppose the Spectre Morocco tie isn't going to get made again?

The SF ties seem to be a bit of an anomaly because I've never seen other TF ties that skinny before.
