Spring 2017 deserving of a new Sunspel

Going back to Casino Royal which is arguably the best DC Bond movie a brand new Sunspel Bond polo was despatched via DHL for me yesterday and arrived today.

I threw it in the dryer with a wet towel but creases are still evident. My last Sunspel polo is so faded, but in otherwise great condition, I'm thinking of re-dying it.

Thanks Sunspel. Always awesome clothing.

Incidentally, it's 75°F here right now.

    Looks good!

How about a steamer for the creases? I've found mine to be a worthwhile investment with all the Bond clothing I received folded up in the mail...

Looks fantastic man! Nothing beats the original. Need to pick me up a new one too. {[]

Yep, I have a steamer, but I was in a hurry to get outside wearing it and enjoying some Spring weather.

The steamer came in very handy for the Royal Filmwear peacoat. Took the creases from shipping right out.

I live in my Navy, Bkack and White ones throughout the summer. Refresh every year and resell old ones and a decent return. Navy with beige chinos or jeans is a winner with PO on OEM rubber on your wrist. I use the Black for my version of the QOS Haiti rig with white Levi's, brown kemptons and Royal Harrington sans same PO on bracelet (very versatile that watch). And I just like the white one paired with Navy or Black jeans or chinos for a similar vibe.

Recently bought the Spectoral Grey which is proving a hit for Winter/ Spring with Black Chinos

OP Looking good my man - enjoy!

    Cheers :-)

    Good style Bond44. I like the way you pair all the pieces. I would recommend picking up the sky blue riviera as well, it gives a great Connery vibe. I've been thinking about getting the spectral grey one as well. When I saw that Bond's suitcase had the grey TF polo, I thought the Spectoral grey Sunspel would be a great alternative for that, just haven't figured out what would go well with it. Black chinos is an interesting idea, I'll have to give that a shot when I pick up the grey polo. -{

JB - You know what I actually have the sky blue one I bought for a business trip to Thailand last year - completely forgot I had it - still wrapped in my wardrobe! Thanks for the reminder can pair that with Navy chinos and Brown suede boots as well - result!(well that is 5 days of the week covered)

Have to say I love the Sunspel polo for the price vs TF you cannot go far wrong. Personally I would rather refresh 5 Sunspels annually than wear one TF but thats just me - they seem to fit me better. That said OB are producing some nice pieces just saw their Navy Massey LS Polo - very nice!

    Cheers :007)

Where did the contents of Bond's suitcase come from? I've not seen that before.
    Yes. Considerably!

It's from a Jame Bond exhibition in Paris I believe. One of the guys on here took a picture of the open suitcase from Spectre while he was there and posted the picture. It's on a thread here somewhere, but I can't remember. Wish we could get to see the rest of the clothing inside the suitcas, but seems that will be hard to do. I emailed a guy at the museum about getting a list of the clothing, when the show was going on, but he never responded. Never picked up the phone either. I was going through a lot of medical issues during that time, so I didn't pursue it as well as I wish I would have. Though, the property is likely owned by EON, if I understand correctly, and getting a hold of them is extremely difficult from what ive heard.

This has just been sent to me by Sunspel via email. They are doing a buttonless Navy Polo. I wonder what it would be like. I also wonder if there is some Tom Ford influence going on there

Is that the new buttonless polo? Or another one is being released?
