Royale Mr White Altaussee jacket tailoring

Folks - I have managed to secure one of these and wanted to check how others may have got on with tailoring to get a slightly more fitted waist/midriff area. The shoulders and chest fit well but I am thinking that I need to get it taken in a little from about the top of the pockets downwards, has anybody else had this sort of alteration done and if so was it from the side seams and how did it go?

I had mine fitted in the waist by my tailor and don't know how it was done exactly, but Dan proved to be right when he said that it was very easy and inexpensive.
