I am thinking of printing out photogrsphs of the various Bond Guns (Actually only the ones which were featured in the books of Ian Fleming) and then framing them for hanging on a wall.
What pistols do I need photographs of? I also want them to scale but am not sure of dimensions?

That is amazing! It’s funny you should mention that. One of the upcoming vlogs covers the Glock 17 and I have a special guest shooting and discussing it!
The reliability issue was that we kept having misfires with the issued ammo. I can't find the exact text on it, but it was either about the loaded OAL of the ammo being off spec and the striker not hitting the primer deep enough or with the primers being exceptionally "safe" variety. We have a habit of burning through wartime ammo before we buy new stock, so this could be the root cause of these troubles.
BTW the wartime sub machine gun ammo (loaded hot as in +P+) was the cause for the FN HP DA having cracked frames and needing upgrade, which is why 900 PIST 80 turned into 900 PIST 80/91.
And yes, if you cut your teeth with the weight of an all steel FN with its sublimely low bore axis, and then have the P226 with its all that slide mass slamming above the lightweight aluminium frame, you will notice it. Think all steel 1911 vs USP .45.

I have no direct experience with the P226, but I did not see that much of muzzle flip in Ray's vid. of course we did not have an angle that could provide a more accurate appreciation.
From my very limited experience in firearms I would still say any reliability issues with either a P226, a beretta 92 or any major manufacturer classic wondernine should be an exception and not a rule, depending on particular ammo.
I am in search of a single stack, da/sa pistol for summer carry. The amazing P5 is single stack but it is about the size of a P99. I am now torn between the walther ccp (no da/sa unfortunately) and the Sig P225 which is a single stack version of the P226.

That’s actually a very cool idea! The books are much different than the movies, but literary Bond carried the Beretta 418 for starters

The 365 is not a single stack, Sig actually designed the unique magazine first, then the pistol around it.

The 365 is not a single stack, Sig actually designed the unique magazine first, then the pistol around it.
You’re absolutely correct, I misspoke. It is as small, if not smaller than most single stack firearms
Thank you for your advice. My plan has changed. It will either be A4 sized photographs in individual frames or the Bond guns in one A4 frame. Being to life size scale will not matter.
My plan depends on approval from my wife to display it/them! 8-)

@ Joshua, of the revolvers Bond used in the novels, besides the Colt Police Positive, He was also used a Smith & Wesson Centennial Airweight in Dr. No. Major Boothroyd issues it along side the PPK for long range work. It later reappears in The Spy Who Loved Me as ASP mentioned. Additionally Bond uses a Savage 99F rifle in the short story For Your Eyes Only, a Thompson Submachine gun in The Spy Loved Me(used during an operation in Canada to locate SPECTRE, he mentions it to Vivienne Michel.) and an International Experimental target rifle built by Winchester in The Living Daylights.
Yes, I forgot about the rifle. If I remember correctly I think Bond also had one in 'From A View To A Kill?'
The number of guns means that I must only have one frame. My wife would surely not allow anything else!

During the Second World War, Bond and a colleague both used Remington's during the assassination of a Japanese cipher expert in New York City's Rockefeller Center. Bond also has taken weapons from various henchman at times when his own gun was either taken or unloaded. In Live And Let Die, he takes a Colt Detective Special from Tee Hee and uses it to aid in his escape. He also uses a S&W Model 10 taken from Dr. No's men during his escape from Crab Key.

Awesome video, Ray. I love seeing Bond's personal effects gathered together like this. It would be cool to see the other prop collectors here post pics of their carry items. In my wallet, I keep one of those credit card gizmos that folds into a knife. It certainly comes in handy when working in a warehouse.

Those credit card knives are incredibly handy and surprisingly sharp! If i didn't make the switch to the minimalist wallet, i'd probably carry one for redundancy, two is one, one is none! I'd be curious as well too see what others carried, like i said in the video, any Bond items we missed that would make great EDC items?

Here’s my stuff, nothing really Bond in there except the 2004 black Bond collection DuPont fountain pen. I have the Pell money clip, but prefer the stainless Purdey as it retains more of a spring compared to silver. Although I only smoke the occasional cigar, I still carry a lighter. I suppose that can be classed as Bondian as he used this model in TND, but that was gold plated. The knife is a Spyderco PITS. The second pen is a Conway Stuart Churchill fountain pen, and the flashlight is a 800 lumen Fenix. OK, there’s another Bond item there, the Leatherman Rebar is in a DM Bullard Walther PPS mag holder. Bond used them in Carte Blanche.
Few more bits on my key ring that are Bond related. I keep my Globetrotter luggage keys on my car key fob along with a small flash drive. My main keys have a really bright USB chargeable Fenix led light with is really bright and lasts for 14 hours on the lowest setting or 6 on the highest. I use this loads at night and I charge it about twice a year if that. There’s also a Victorinox small knife/scissors/file combo and SPECTRE ring.
