I was at my local art gallery yesterday and spotted a bloke wearing a black Menlo and outfit clearly inspired by bond's enjoying death ensemble which looked fantastic.
I was a able to snap a pic without getting his face. Would it be uncool for me to post said picture for everyone to see?
As long as he's not a member of this forum, he won't even know the difference ) seriously though, as long as he isn't immediately recognizable, it should probably be cool. I wouldn't mind, but I know some who might, so it's a toss up.
Please excuse the over saturated lighting, it makes the black sheepskin look much closer the greenish Menlo bond wore.
Despite the smaller frame of the wearer, the jacket and whole outfit worked really well IMO. Goes to show you don't need to have Craig's physique, just go for what you feel comfortable wearing in size or colour etc.

Yeah, he is definitely going for the Enjoying Death look. I quite like his take on it. Good catch! I find it very likely that this guy at least haunts AJB. If not, we need a card we can hand to guys who are "on the edge" )

This menlo is size medium. Shoulders seam to seam 20", chest pit to pit 22", length 25 1/4", sleeves 27". I will have to have the sleeves shortened 1 1/2". There seems to be a lot of variation in sizeing. Based on what others have said there jackets measurements are. Is it possible to identify what season or year a jacket is ?.

Did some more research. I think my method of lining identification is false. I believe that V1 and V2 had the same lining. Possibly some owners of both could verify this. However, one thing that is well known and shown by post 212 of the following AJB thread, the arm lengths of the original were overly long:

The hunt paid off, I have to concur with what Mr B has said (his IA review was my go-to guide during my search), seems like you have an original run version on your hands (well, shoulders) - as far as I was aware the Skyfall screen jacket was from an original 2012 run which for some reason had extra long arms as per yours, as well as heavy distressing and yellow lining. Congratulations!

I have a size M which has a brown colour lining more than a beige colour. I bought it off Mr Porter back in 2012. Does that mean it's a V1? I remember at the time there was a debate that the one used in the movie was a much older version probably from 2010 or 2011.
I have not worn mine at all I find the shoulders look weird like there are shoulder pads in it. Does anyone else have the same problem? I have quite broad shoulders so with the jacket I look like an extra from Dynasty

If the color is like the below pic, then it is either V1 or V2. The two versions are practically identical except for the measurements. V1 has obnoxiously long arms and a slightly longer jacket length. If the arms fit long and the jacket length isn't too cropped, you have a V1. Otherwise, it's a V2. Hope that helps.
Thanks for the info James, much appreciated! Based on this i must have the V2 which would make sense as its from Mr Porter in 2012. The arms are not crazy long - i don't have long arms and they go just past the wrist. The shoulders do seem to have a weird shape though.
