The holy grail of Connery outfits?

While some of Connery's outfits included items that could be sourced today - at least as an approximation, like Fred Perry shirts or the Slazenger golf sweater - a lot would have to be custom made if you wanted the OG Bond look. The problem is finding a place that captures the spirit of the older styles that we see in Connery's films. This morning on Facebook I saw a new outfit that I can honestly say I've never seen before in my lifetime, and will help people enjoy the summer like our most beach-loving Bond:

    I saw this this morning. However, my girlfriend used her once-a-year veto rights to prevent me from ordering one.

    Hahahahahah! I knew my name would come up on this post, and I knew it was gonna be you to bring it up Chris. :)) They do have my size... I can pull of some $hit, but these are way out of my league. I'll leave it to manlier men like James Boldman who pulled off the look in an envious way, as far as I'm concerned. I hate to miss out on a Bond look, but we all have to know our limits.

    However, I would be willing to take one for the team and do a review for IA if Canoe wouldn't mind losing some of his customer base :))

    Also, in line with what thelordflashheart was saying about the old school Connery fits, you can find some great stuff. I've really enjoyed this TB outfit a lot, and no update was really needed:

    The shirt is Jcrew and the pants Banana Republic. I don't have any examples at the moment, but Orlebar Brown is the company I would say best replicates the Connery vibe with the highest quality. Not too long back, someone posted about Connery' toweling polo look in DaF:

    Well, it's not exactly the same, but OB just released this toweling polo in a similar color:

    This outfit doesn't have enough contrast for my tastes, so I'm looking to update it with reddish trousers (OB of course):
