Walther PPK deactivated UK based

Hi

So I have a black Walther PPK deactivated and UK / London based that Im looking to sell as the GF is not a fan of me having it even if it is deactivated but Im wondering how I go about this legally ( I bought it years ago online but aware laws might have changed?>) and how much its worth.

It comes boxed in a hard plastic walther branded carrying case , deactivation cert, and a belth clip on holster ( same a Craig used in Casino Royale in the opening scene).

Advice appreciated.

thanks

There is no simple way of doing this. The pistol needs to be deactivated further to the new EU specifications to be able to sold or even gifted. May I suggest you contact World Wide Arms, D&B Militaria or Arundel Militaria who can carry out the necessary work & get the pistol passed through one of the two UK proof houses.

    Necessary work? Or legalised vandalism?

Truthfully well over the top IMO as we had the most thorough/strictest standards already in place but unless the new EU regs are revoked in 2019 when we finally dump The Common Market then we are stuck with it! :(

I can't see that happening really, it would look like a softening of gun regulations.....

I don't see a problem in revealing this because regrettably it didn't work but after the new regs were sneaked through just prior to the Brexit vote representatives from The House of Lords visited the armoury with a view to doing just that...overturning it!
