Custom SPECTRE figure

I've worked on custom figures for years as a side hobby.. good quiet time at the work bench to escape my day job.. This one is about 99% done.. need to lighten the hair and paint details on the hands.. finally found an accurate 1/6 HK pistol.. I also tinker with woodwork so I made the aged wood base and then burned the octopus design into it

This is brilliant, simply brilliant, even down to the gloves in the pocket!
It was either that.....or the priesthood

Wow thanks for sharing MFisher. Really looking good.

Can I ask how many hours you think this has taken you so far?

I've still got a LALD Moore on my bench.. few years back I hand crafted the shoulder holster from actual leather.. there's a pic buried somewhere here on the board of it.. problem is I rarely have the time to work on my own projects.. I've made custom 1/6 Indiana Jones belts, holsters and whips for right at ten years.. most any spare hobby time has been used up building those as the orders were pretty consistent over the years.. however I am taking a break from them as I'm simply tired.. want to revisit my own projects for a bit

Can I ask where you sourced the head sculpt? Or is that also your work? Either way, it looks great!

That particular head was made by a company called Eleven.. they do a lot of very good quality look alike sculpts.. (The John Wick sculpt that is about to be released is very well done).. DC is a bit of a hard likeness to capture in 1/6 apparently as even though this is the best I have seen so far.. it is still just a bit off... But again, as there have been a slew of DC sculpts released over time, this one has come the closest at getting it right.. It may not be perfect, but on a figure in a screen accurate wardrobe, you recognize the character... There is a clothing set on eBay now with this head and the SPECTRE poster clothing for around 60-70 USD

I may be well off beam here, but surely in this day and age if you 3D Scan a full size sculp (and there are plenty of really good ones around) and then scale it down to 1/6 then either CNC or 3D Print the result for use as a master. Now I'm not artistic in any way in the 3D world, I leave that to genii like MicroJiff, 2D is my medium. It is my understanding though that apart from fire and water you can realistically scale anything down. Derek Meddings was the undisputed master of this and a testament to his work is seen on screen all the way upto Goldeneye, I believe his sons carry on his work now. Happy to be educated if this is not plausible or possible. Great work on the figure BTW.
