    Spectre on Netflix last night.
I think it's great that Netflix have given me another way to view, along with dvd, bluray, recorded off TV, and my download.

Not a bond movie, but I started re-watching every thing and nothing on Sunday morning, I'll finish it off tonight.

QOS, I still really like this film but it does feel very unpolished at times. Given the writers strike and all its not hard to see why. I have always hated the Star Trek-like interiors of MI6 though, thankfully SF rectified that.

QoS's Mi6 looks more like the all white control center from The Matrix Reloaded, just about 200 years too early.

    Bits of The Living Daylights.

Maybe I'm on the turn, but Dalton really was a handsome devil in this wasn't he? Astonishing, I can almost see Lady Rose's pov. That said, maybe she's biased because she coincidentally has the same name as the cello...

He can't be much of a spy. When Kara passes him for the first time, he stands right in front of her but she walks right past without a look. I mean, he is so good looking she would clock him. That said, Dalton's hair begins to frazzle throughout the shoot it seems.

It's quite a dense film of course and a director with a lighter touch would help, so you enjoy the movement even if you don't get the plot. Having Bond deceive Kara about Yogi in its early stages doesn't feel right, and you don't see any misgivings in his eyes, so you wonder if you got it wrong and Bond actually does know where he is. Bond did that sort of thing well with Connery in DAF, the misgiving he has as he's about to punch out Peter Frank in cold blood from behind, also Burton in The Wild Geese when he reflects on the way he tricks his old pal Harris, who had proved reluctant, into getting involved in his mercenary adventure.

Dalton's has Teresa May's charisma, he tries hard but... I suppose then it would be The iving alights however... :))

Watched GE and SF back to back yesterday with a couple buds. GE was epic as usual. I really enjoyed SF this time. So much that I significantly moved it up in my ranking.

Watched Dr No as it was the one that started everything and followed it with
Batman Begins. In which I noticed a small mistake ( I think ). On describing the
Bat suit M Freeman tells C Bale that it would stop a knife ? yet in Batman 3, He
    gets stabbed ?

-{ good choice, I nearly watched Dr no but I saw it a couple of weeks ago.
I may be wrong ( not likely but has been known very very occasionally) but didn't they redo the Batsuit when Bruce asked for more movement and Freemans character said it would be at the cost of protection? In one of the films.

In honour of Roger Moore, I watched his favourite Bond, ... TSWLM -{ a classic.
Still takes me back to when I was 13 and completely blown away. The glamour,
The action, The humour :D Roger's Bond is now fully formed and he looks so
    Comfortable in the role.

Watching TSWLM ( again ) I think I've found a "Prompt" in the dialogue. When the Sea king helicopter lands
At the Submarine base, at the end of the pilots conversation he says " Sea King 05, Roger out " ........ Clearly
Directions for Roger to get ready to leave the craft. :p :D

    Bits of GoldenEye.

There's always something on the screen, it's stylish and it looks good. Script is just duff to me, full of non-liners. And Brosnan seems less impressive after Craig, his main advantage at the time seemed to be a) He's not Dalton and b) Immense audience goodwill. He does seem like a bit of a male model or porn star, going through the motions and weighed down by the Bond iconography a bit too much.

CR and QoS. Yes I admit I'm a Craigaholic.

Athough I plan on going back and watching the Connery Bond films, I've only seen a couple but I quite enjoyed them.

No sir. I know there are many great, classic Bond films I have yet to see. If I remember correctly I've seen Dr. No, some of Goldfinger, DAF. Also I've seen FYEO, LTK and DAD.

For me my favorite Bond besides DC of course, is SC so I want to watch the rest of his Bond films.

Under the " That was bleeding obvious " heading. I only noticed last night watching the
titles to YOLT. That the last shot of the setting sun, " melts" in to a daylight shot of the

I guess I'm usually too excited watching a Bond to notice little things like that. :))

    I'm now enjoying DAF.

As a tribute to Karin Dor, i have recently watched YOLT. It's one of the best looking films in the series! The score is majestic, with the use of sweeping strings and the guitar gives the score a Japanese feel. The use of a sumo ring as a meeting place, was unique, the meeting with Henderson is both funny and chilling, especially when Henderson stops speaking mid sentence.

Donald Pleasence is a creepy Blofeld! We don't see his face until the film's climax, but Donald is equally creepy, playing Blofeld unseen. The part where he asks Brandt and Osato to report is humourous and disturbing. The way they both try to pin the blame on each other for failing to kill Bond, Osato tries to speak, before Blofeld cuts him off and tells him to leave. The look on Helga's face as she looks at Blofeld, is one of pure terror!

The final fight is one of the best in the series and paved the way for the big battle scenes in the villain's lair. Hans is not a memorable henchman, but he is taller than Bond and Bond has to use his wits to defeat him.

Tanaka is great as M's Japanese counterpart. Not only does he give Bond intel, but he plays an active role in the climax.

You're having more luck than I ever had, but then I again I did create a Bond fan.
Me :D. No small feat considering how my father dismissed the films for being for the most part "crap". I showed him the classics again and he was reminded of how good they were. So, I count two.
Problem is I don't have any friends. I did have a friend, though. Not interested, unfortunately. He's no friend of mine anymore.

I was checking out the 007 section on Hulu the past couple days. I started with FRWL because I haven't yet seen it since my ultimate edition DVD and I heard the new HD transfer was nice. Anyway, it didn't really matter since I fell asleep about 30 minutes into the film.

Got back on track with TSWLM, MR, and AVTAK.

-Always a little nervous to watch Spy since it has to meet my expectations that it's the best Bond film. Did not disappoint! Even better than I remembered it.

-MR manages to outdo Spy in terms of production values and cinematography. This is a true masterpiece. For all the flak it gets about being too silly, I can only count two "comedic "moments in the entire film: Jaws flapping his arms and the pigeon double-take.

-I appreciated Holly more than ever. She looks stunning out on the balcony in Venice and also in Rio as she is still deciding if she wants to work with Bond. Unlike other strong willed equal-to-Bond girls such as Honey, XXX, Octopussy and Wai Lin, she is never flat out captured during the climax of the film. Sure, Bond does get her out of the blast area, but he was also in captivity with her. Towards the end of the film she is still throwing punches and piloting a space shuttles rather than being tied up like those other Bond girls.

    - For all the flak Roger gets about being too old in AVTAK, I have to say he looks in better shape than FYEO and OP.

There are 5 main things that prevent AVTAK from being a near-perfect Bond film:

    1. California Girls. I sometimes find John Glen's humor rather difficult to follow.
    2. Poor stunt doubling in Paris. The taxi driver is annoying too.
    3. The goofy warehouse fight and awful track-suit.
    4. Meeting with Pola Ivanova is near pointless. It would have been cool with Barbara Bach, but otherwise should have been cut.
    5. The firetruck chase is very poor. Mainly the idea of Bond needing to get to the rear of the firetruck is absurd. (Turns out Stacy is an awesome driver, but that was a heck of a chance to take!)

The rest of the film is pretty amazing though. I am still a bit puzzled how it got a reputation for being THE worst Bond film.
    My current 10 favorite:

    1. GE 2. MR 3. OP 4. TMWTGG 5. TSWLM 6. TND 7. TWINE 8.DN 9. GF 10. AVTAK
