Buying Church's Ryder III from Herring Shoes

Hey All,

I was wondering if any of you in the US ordered Church's Ryder from Herring Shoes online (http://www.herringshoes.co.uk) and could share with me an estimate of the import duty fees.

Thanks!

I bought them years ago and shipped to Canada. I think back then I had emailed them inquiring about that and asked if they could ship via Royal Mail instead of UPS/DHL in order to help make the import fees less; UPS and DHL always charge additional fees. Since they were too heavy with the shoe trees they offered to declare the value lower and ship UPS. I think I paid like $15-20 total.

There should not be any import fees. The current exemption amount is $800.

I'll echo WD's post - there are no import fees on those coming from Herring Shoes. Great company and site! I've made many a purchase from HS, including my Ryder IIIs, and I've never been charged any fees. They ship super fast too! You'll get your shoes about 3 or 4 days after you place your order in the US. I think they come via DHL.

    Kind regards,
    Craig

Thanks! That's some good news! question however, is that duty exception for all clothing stuff? or just shoes?

A word of advice for sizing, you shoe take a half size down from your regular size IMO.

Will definitely do that, I read several reviews mentioning the same thing.

The $800 exemption is for any merchandise.
