Hello all,

I was just thinking about the teaser scene in Goldeneye and how much I liked the tactical wear Bond sports in this scene. I know from previous research that his jacket is a American made M-65 field jacket and I would like to add one to my collection. My question is what kind of changes were made by the costume department prior to filming?

If I recall correctly they added pockets on the arms and zelcro closures at the wrists. Not sure what else because the tactical vest covered most of it.

Loved it so much, I've tracked down two! I would let you have one, but I won my second one in a charity auction and it's signed by a Mr S. Bean, and I've been meaning to have the other one tailored, as it's a large, and obviously a tad on the large side...

@ Dirty Punker Thank you for the link, it was very helpful. @Meesta Bawnd Thanks for sharing the pictures of the EON licensed replica, those will really come in handy for adding the sleeve pockets and Velcro wrist closures. Just need to purchase an M65 field jacket to get started.

I hesitate to mention this because I don't want Mantis to be inundated with requests. However, I am the proud owner of a replica of this jacket that our very own Mantis shepherded through EONs ago (pardon the pun). It does not have the 007 logos and is therefore screen accurate. I think I know the maker too, however since it was Mantis' baby...

I hope you can forgive me Mantis, I didn't intend to step on your toes because bespoke John Lobbs are expensive. But your jacket is just too sweet!

Great news! I found an Ebay seller that had one of the replica combat jackets that Secret Identitee produced back in 1995 in my size. It just came a few days ago and I love it. In the near future, I will be picking a stock M65 Jacket in black and making a screen accurate copy of the actual costume piece. Thank you to all of you for your help.
