Why doesn't Bond bleed (in the pre-Craig films)?

Outside of FRWL and LALD, I can't think of any time Bond is actually made to bleed during a fight with a baddie...
Anyone know why Broccoli et al opted to make Bond a sort of Superman?

LTK.
He did. His shirt has blood stains on it.
During the torture?
I don't seem to recall a scene in FRWL where he bled.
Maybe you're thinking of Kerim Bey in the gypsy camp shootout (an easy mistake to make, they both use PPKs).
Off-screen, the scar from a jealous woman also must've had blood when he first got it.
With Craig they introduced the running, sweating, looking exhausted and beat up Bond. It's what Craig's best at too
After the stairwell fight sequence. Only my opinion but I think the mix of Bond the fighter and
Bond the suave agent was just about perfect there.
You beat me to it, TP! )
But yes at times Bond has taken one hell of a Beating. -{
Of TWINE in the lawyer's office. He really looks a killer.
Yeah...he doesn't really convince me at all in that scene...
You call Dalton wimpy, yet Brozzer looks like he's about to take a huge dump everytime he has to fire a gun.
Doesn't end well for you, I'm afraid .
You're so right, Mr Bond.
Suggests using Anya's nighty as a bandage.
1. GE 2. MR 3. OP 4. TMWTGG 5. TSWLM 6. TND 7. TWINE 8.DN 9. GF 10. AVTAK
Although we do see an occasional spray of blood like in OHMSS and TND.

I appreciate the ways they can kill Bond villains where we wouldn't see blood in any case, like with Goldfinger, Drax, Kamal Khan and Zorin. Henchmen like Odd Job, Chang, Erich Kreigler, Gobinda and Necros die legitimately blood-less deaths too.
And there are enough "subtle" quite horrendous on or off-screen deaths in the series imo.
I don't want Bond to be as brutal frequently as it is in LTK. I love the film, but back in the day it was the element that made it almost impossible to watch for me.
SPECTRE uses subtle horror too, I prefer that much to bloody stuff like in QOS.
