Martin Campbell would be a reason for me to get excited about Bond 25 despite the grotesquely unnecessary four year gap.
But I highly doubt it, if I remember correctly Campbell and Craig were not really friends with each other.
Not sure either that Campbell would even be interested. Furthermore he made the two most important Bond films for EON in the last three decades. He has a perfect record and is loved generally for it.
Why risk that perfect record?
Anyway, I want him back of course. At least he was able to make Craig more or less convincing as Bond. It's mainly Campbell that made CR a success, that cannot be valued too high.
Campbell would be my choice also however werent EON extremely lucky to get him for Casino Royale? I recall reading he really didnt want to do another after Goldeneye

I have to research my collection of articles (on paper) but I recall that Campbell was opposed to work with Craig and yes, initially didn't want to do CR.

But in the end it did work out very well.
Absolutely! CR is a classic like GF, TSWLM and GE.
Yes, let's agree to disagree about "Arrival".
If Campbell gets hired for Bond25 I won't be upset, after all he made CR :007)
But his films have been all over the place and there are other directors who never make bad movies.
And Napoleon lost in the end.
It's been an interesting development lately. Almost from the start Campbell has been in the lead, closely followed by Nolan, Mendes and Matthew Waughn. But now Waughn has 24% of the votes and he's now in a clear lead. The other three have 19% to 15%.

Shouldn't that be Matthev Waughn?
Vaughn has his own franchise with Kingsman. I don't want him.

Touché sir
YES!! David Yates still only has one vote...
But I prefer:
1.- Sir Ridley Scott.
2.- Michael Bay.
3.- Zack Snyder.
4.- Luc Besson.
5.- John Woo.
6.- John McTiernan.
1. Dalton 2. Moore 3. Connery 4. Lazenby 5. Craig 6. Brosnan
